  • Patent number: 8393364
Abstract: In, for example, a direct methanol type fuelcell, fuel is allowed to be injected little by little when the fuel is injected and supplied from the outside to a fuel receiving part reduced in the amount of remaining fuel on the fuelcell body side and an electromotive part can be prevented from being damaged by keeping the pressure in the fuel receiving part at a fixed level or less when the fuel is injected. Specifically, when a fuel CL filled in a refuelling container C is injected into a fuel receiving part T in several lots, a fuel injecting operation is repeated in which the volume of the refuelling container C is shrunk and reduced to supply the fuel into the fuel receiving part T in a proper amount and then the original volume of the refuelling container is restored to thereby absorb the atmospheric gas in the fuel receiving part T, which makes it possible to inject fuel continuously without any hindrance to the injection of the fuel.

  • Patent number: 8327892
Abstract: A vaporizer filling system includes a filler assembly, a sump, and a valve. The valve controls fluid communication into the sump. A retaining device retains the valve in an open position. A delay is connected to the retaining device. The delay controls the operation of the retaining device in order to retain the valve in the open position until the delay detects a release condition. The delay then controls the retaining device to release the valve. A method of filling a vaporizer includes engaging a bottle of liquid anesthetic agent with a filler assembly. The bottle and the filler assembly are moved from a first position to a second position. The bottle and filling assembly are locked in the second position with a retaining device. The peripheral wall includes a front wall, a back wall, a first side wall and a second side wall. The top wall has a plurality of apertures extending therethrough and into the housing. A window is positioned in the front wall and generally extends between the top and bottom walls. Volume measurement indicia are positioned on the front wall and adjacent to the window. An outlet conduit has a first end and a second end. The outlet conduit is elongated and is flexible. The first end is fluidly coupled to the housing. Each of a plurality of spouts fluidly coupled to oil containers may be extended into one of the apertures such that the oil containers rest in an inverted position and the contents thereof drain into the housing.

  • Patent number: 6941983
Abstract: A syringe guide for a syringe and vial is disclosed. The syringe guide serves as a guide for the needle to be inserted into the vial. The syringe guide can be made in different sizes, with different materials, and using different constructive ways. It consists of a pipe having a large diameter at one end and a small diameter at the opposite end. The vial and syringe are placed in the syringe guide according to their relative diameters. The diameter of the syringe guide can increase due to the slit running the entire length. A wall inside the syringe guide where the small and large diameters of the pipe meet supports the vial. When withdrawing medication while both the vial and the syringe are in the guide, one does not have to hold the vial. The syringe guide makes working with a needle safer, cleaner, and easier.

  • Patent number: 6889732
Abstract: A vapor recovery spout for a portable fuel container. The spout includes an inner sleeve attached to the container to provide a fuel flow passage through the spout. The passage has an outlet port for fuel to flow through into a tank. A sliding sleeve is mounted on the inner sleeve for sliding axial movement from an outwardly extended position to a retracted position. A radially extending annular seal is mounted on the sliding sleeve for sealing the fuel tank opening when the spout is inserted. Vapor recovery passages are provided between the inner sleeve and the sliding sleeve for displaced vapor to flow from the tank to the container. The sliding sleeve closes the fuel passage and the vapor recovery passageways when in its extended position and opens the fuel passage and the vapor recovery passageways when in its retracted position. A spring urges the sliding sleeve to its extended position.

Abstract: The illustrated spouted container (10) broadly includes a storage container (12), a self-venting spout (14) removably coupled to the container (12), a collar (16) for removably coupling the spout (14) to the container (12), and a cap (18) for closing the spout (14) and/or the container (12). The collar (16) cooperates with an inventive sealing disc (32) and a neck (24) to create a gasket-less seal between the spout (14) and the storage container (12) that is adjustable yet prevents undesirable fluid leakage when the spout (14) is in either a pour or a storage position. The spout (14) is a self-venting spout that includes an air-venting passageway (34) formed in part by a flange (60).

  • Patent number: 6820662
Abstract: A machine that makes bubbles that are dispensed vertically. A membrane-forming system forms a bubble solution membrane over a bubble ring. Air is passed through the bubble ring by a blowing fan, which is intermittently operated to allow contact between a membrane-forming ring and the bubble ring. Bubble solution is continuously supplied to the bubble rings from a central reservoir. Safety switches prevent operation of the bubble-making machine unless there is bubble solution in the reservoir, the main housing is properly connected to the fan, and the bubble machine is in an upright position (and not tipped over). The present invention provides continuous operation for the duration of the bubble solution supply, and is easily washed, used, maintained, and manufactured.
