  • Patent number: 10710127
Abstract: A flexible cleaning lance safety apparatus is described as including a tripod support structure located close to an opening into an object to be cleaned. A flexible lance drive is fastened to the support structure for driving a high pressure fluid through a lance to the object to be cleaned. A snout tube is connected between the lance drive and an opening into the object to be cleaned. One or more micro pressure valves on each leg of the tripod support structure is operative to sense a predetermined force applied between the support structure and a support surface supporting the tripod support structure. When the predetermined force is sensed this causes the high pressure fluid to be diverted from the lance and the object to be cleaned to atmosphere.

  • Patent number: 10279279
Abstract: A system produces bubbles. The system may be used as a children's toy, a special effects machine, an art performance prop, a party entertainment item, or a similar object for entertaining users. The system is designed to produce bubbles regardless of the orientation of the system. The system includes a reservoir, a pump, a swiping mechanism, and a fan. The reservoir receives and stores fluid, and the pump provides pressure on the stored fluid such that the fluid travels through the reservoir and exits the reservoir. The swiping mechanism spreads across the exited fluid to create a fluid sheet, and the fan blows on the fluid sheet, transforming it into a bubble. The pump enables the stored fluid to be available for bubble production at any orientation of the system. The system may be moved, rotated, thrown, bounced, swung, etc. by a user and produce bubbles during its motion.

  • Patent number: 10035619
Abstract: A container treatment machine has treatment positions provided on a circumferential transport element rotating about a vertical machine axis. Each has a container carrier, a centering element, an aggregate, a control valve, and an actuation element. The treatment position clamps empty containers with a clamping force between the carrier and the cone. The actuation element generates the container clamping force. The control valve controls flow through the channel. Containers lying in a sealed position against the centering cone are loaded with pressure medium that travels through the channel to generate a container-stabilizing internal pressure. The control valve, which is in the centering element, causes container pre-tensioning by being opened by a container clamping force that acts between the centering cone and the container to pretension the container.

  • Patent number: 8967558
Abstract: A method and device of inserting a food stuff into a food stuff bag is disclosed, with the method involving providing a substantially flexible resilient food stuff support that is generally “U” shaped when viewed from its operative position on a countertop, inserting at least a first end of the device a short depth into an opening of a pliable bag, such first end having an edge that is curved and opposing sides that are substantially straight. A bending mechanism bends so that at least the first end deforms from a first configuration to a second configuration for insertion of the first end through the bag opening and into an interior of the bag, wherein when the forces are reduced, the first end changes shape toward the first configuration for holding a portion of the bag and for providing an open volume within the bag for transferring a food stuff to the interior of the bag.

  • Patent number: 8955559
Abstract: Fuel vapor is prevented from leaking to the outside during refueling, and even when an air space is formed in an upper portion of a fuel filler pipe, a diagnosis of leakage of fuel vapor can be performed with good accuracy. During refueling, fuel vapor is guided from a fuel tank 1 to a canister 3, and is absorbed by the canister 3. A change in the internal pressure of a fuel vapor path including the fuel tank 1, a fuel vapor pipe 4, and the canister 3 is detected by a pressure sensor 8, thereby performing a diagnosis of leakage of fuel vapor. An upper space 16 in the fuel tank 1 and an upper space 17 in a fuel filler pipe 2 communicate with each other through an airflow resistance pipe 12, and in order to restrict flow of fuel vapor from the fuel tank 1 through the airflow resistance pipe 12 into the fuel filler pipe 2 during refueling, the airflow resistance pipe 12 includes an orifice 13.
