Patent number: 9669651Abstract: A fully-automatic pencil sharpener is provided according to embodiments of the present application, which may avoid the problem of the pencil being overly sharpened in the conventional electric pencil sharpener, and realize a maximized utilization of the length of the pencil, thus is more economical and environmental friendly compared to the conventional electric pencil sharpener. The fully-automatic pencil sharpener according to embodiments of the present application includes a pencil-pushing module, a pencil-sharpening module, a power module, a detection module, a control module and a housing. The pencil-pushing module is adapted to push a pencil to a preset position, for example pushing the pencil to the pencil-sharpening module when the pencil is placed in the pencil sharpener, and pushing the pencil out of the fully-automatic pencil sharpener when the pencil has been sharpened.Type: GrantFiled: December 4, 2013Date of Patent: June 6, 2017Assignee: GuangZhou PanYu Tung Yung Stationery MFY., LTD.Inventors: Liangchun Zhong, Zhongmin Duan, Changhai Dai

Patent number: 7721981Abstract: A mechanical control mechanism for the feed of a brush chipper is disclosed. The feed control bar has four positions: (1) forward or feed, (2) neutral, (3) reverse, and (4) stop. The hydraulic control valve has the three usual positions: (1) forward or feed, (2) neutral, (3) reverse. A function of the feed control bar is to provide the three function of the hydraulic control valve, plus the fourth in a fashion amenable to emergency situations. To these ends, the control bar has an extreme rearward position wherein the feed mechanism is stopped. The only permissible change to the stopped condition of the feed mechanism is to reverse the feed. Until a reset lever is manipulated, the hydraulic control valve cannot be put into a forward feed position.Type: GrantFiled: February 26, 2009Date of Patent: May 25, 2010Assignee: Vermeer Manucaturing Co.Inventors: John T. Patent number: 7140089Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention is a compact, low-cost, lightweight, versatile and easy-to-operate, processor-controlled carving and multi-purpose shaping device (“PCCMPS machine”). The PCCMPS machine that represents one embodiment of the present invention is configured, in part, similarly to common, commercially available portable wood planers and ubiquitous laser and ink-jet computer printers, with work pieces fed into the PCCMPS machine in a horizontal direction. The PCCMPS machine includes a motor-powered cutting head that can power detachable bits to drill, cut, shape, and rout a work piece under processor and computer control. The cutting head may be translated, under processor control, back and forth across the surface of the work piece in a direction perpendicular to the direction in which the work piece is fed into the PCCMPS machine and moved by motor-powered rollers.Type: GrantFiled: September 18, 2004Date of Patent: November 28, 2006Assignee: LHR Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Christopher Scott Lovchik, James David Jochim, Dennis Girard Lawler

Patent number: 6896019Abstract: The log positioning and conveying apparatus is used for conveying a log from an upstream end to a downstream end, and for positioning a log according to a predetermined downstream position. The apparatus comprises an open frame and a number of powered conveying rollers arranged therein in a row. These rollers, in addition to being rotatable, are displaceable in two directions relative to the open frame, namely, in a vertical direction for correcting the position of the log vertically relative to the open frame, and in a horizontal direction transversal to the longitudinal axis of the conveying apparatus, for correcting the position of the log transversely relative to the longitudinal axis.Type: GrantFiled: May 1, 2003Date of Patent: May 24, 2005Assignee: Sawquip International Inc.Inventors: René Achard, Robert Gauthier, Jean-Pierre Perreault, Eddy Ste-Croix

Patent number: 6394259Abstract: A feed roller for use in feeding timber includes a body and has disposed around its periphery friction elements with anti-slip elements for improving the engagement between the feed roller and the log. A transfer element is arranged between the friction element and the body to transfer the motion of the feed roller to the friction element. The friction element swings around a pitch point formed in the transfer element, adhering to the surface of the log conveyed in the device and always directing an even pressure to the surface of the log. The transfer element preferably includes lugs, which are disposed in grooves at the bottom of the friction element.Type: GrantFiled: March 27, 2000Date of Patent: May 28, 2002Assignee: Ponsse OyjInventor: Paavo Alhainen
