Abstract: A chimney cleaner that is conveniently installed within a chimney liner is described. In some embodiment, the chimney cleaner is integrated with the chimney cap that may be used to replace existing chimney caps. The chimney cleaner utilizes a cleaner tool affixed to a cable such that the cleaner tool may be raised and lowered within the chimney liner by shortening or lengthening the cable.

Abstract: A thruster pig for sending through a pipe from an entrance facility to a receiving location, for servicing or monitoring, by pumping a thrusting fluid into the pipe to force the pig forward is disclosed. The thruster pig includes a body having a front end and a back end, where the back end includes a reaction surface to which said the thrusting fluid applies a motive force. The body is slightly smaller in diameter than the inner diameter of the pipe. The pig also includes a seal circumferentially arranged on the pig to seal between said body and said pipe. A desired differential pressure is maintained over the pig to urge said pig forward through the pipe by pumping a fluid into the annulus between the pipe and the return flow line while returning fluid through said return flow line utilizing connected servicing or monitoring equipment. A connector releasably connects a return flow line to the pig.

Abstract: A gun bore cleaning system for efficiently cleaning a bore of a gun. The gun bore cleaning system includes a cleaning member having a spiral groove and a length of cord positionable within the spiral groove. The cord is extended through a bore of a gun with the cleaning member cleaning the bore of the gun.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for chemo-mechanical cleaning of the barrel of a gun, in which method the barrel is closed tightly from both ends and at least one cleaning chemical is introduced into the closed barrel, the chemical is allowed to react with the impurities on the interior surface of the barrel, the chemically treated residue is loosened mechanically, the residue is removed from the barrel and, if necessary, the barrel is rinsed and dried. According to the invention, at least one of the cleaning chemicals used is a gaseous cleaning chemical. The invention also relates to a device for cleaning the barrel of a gun, comprising end blocks (1,8) sealably fittable to each end of the barrel and a reciprocable mechanical cleaning element to be placed in the barrel.
