Abstract: A combined tooth brush and gum massaging device comprising a bristle head which includes an intermediate bristle portion and at both sides adjoining massaging portions, whereby the width of the bristle head is enlarged up to a value that the bristle portion can overlap teeth of the upper tooth row and teeth of the lower tooth row simultaneously when both tooth rows are in contact with one another. Therefore both tooth rows and adjoining gums can be treated simultaneously.

Abstract: This invention relates to a toothbrush which includes tufts of bristles which are fixed to and project from a head to define a substantially rectangular brush surface and a pair of resilient gum massage members which are located on opposite long sides of the brush surface with each massage member being at least as long as the brush surface occupied by three tufts of bristles but shorter than the surface and as wide as a tuft of bristles.

Abstract: Bristles for a toothbrush arranged in repeating patterns of like and unlike shaped bristles, consisting of clusters of long, soft, bristles alternating with clusters of shorter, pyramidal shaped bristles which shorter bristles begin at the base of the longer clusters of bristles, together with the other two sides of the pyramid facing the width of the brush, all four sides gradually moving in a convex curve to the apex of the pyramidal bristles which is centered from all sides, allowing the bristles to be used along any portion of the teeth, either occlusal, or labial, lingual or buccal either in a horizontal motion along the teeth or in a vertical direction either up or down, which brushing facilitates not only the cleaning of the teeth and between the teeth, but also the massaging and strengthening the gingerval tissue providing both interproximal and periodontal bristles used at the same time.

Abstract: An oral health and hygiene kit comprises a length of flexible liquid pervious material, said length of material including a pocket for containing a finger. A dentifrice is applied to an exterior face of the pocket. Also the length of material extends longitudinally away from the opening into the pocket and a transverse sleeve is formed in the extension for containing a length of dental floss and a relatively rigid dental stimulator.

Abstract: A massage belt has pimples on one side and bristles on the other, and is made of soft synthetic plastics material. The bristles are anchored in recesses in bosses directly opposite pimples, and the bristle anchoring means extend through the base of each boss and partially into the associated pimple, thereby being safely embedded.

Abstract: A toothbrush having a handle and a rubber-like brushing structure having a plurality of brushing projections and mounted on the forward part of the handle is further provided with a rigid frame member surrounding the side surface of the brushing structure and engaged with the latter in a projection-and-recess relation, the frame member being bonded to the handle for indirectly securing the brushing structure to the handle, and the "hardness" in operation of the toothbrush, i.e., the brushing projections, being adjusted by varying the height of the frame member measured perpendicularly to the lengthwise direction of the handle.

Abstract: A gum brush has an elongated handle with a stem end, to which is secured a brush head having a bullet shape and provided therearound in symmetrically distributed arrangement several fin-like projections some of which are parallel to the handle and others are perpendicular to the handle, these projections and the brush head being made of a rubberlike material such as cis-1,4-polyisoprene. In use, the brush head and projections are placed in an infant's mouth and moved at random or are chewed by the infant. As a result, the infant's teeth are cleaned, and, at the same time, its gums are firmed and strengthened.

Abstract: An elongated handle, of rectangular cross-section, has a round, flatted brush head mounted at either one end or both ends. The brush head, according to the invention is fabricated from an originally linear, twisted wire frame having a central core portion which secures diametral bristles which effectively project radially from the core portion, and free end portions. The core portion is formed into a circular core, with the free end portions extending transversely and being secured in an axial recess in the handle. The formed brush head, then, approximates a spherical head having opposite flatted sides. The handle end to which a head is secured is preferably bent at an obtuse angle, with the plane of one head core being transverse to the handle plane defined by the main handle portion and bent handle portion. When a second head of similar construction is mounted at the opposite end of the handle, the plane of the second head core is coincident with the above mentioned handle plane.

Abstract: The invention is a double sulcus toothbrush having two groups of sulcus bristles which diverge at an angle relative to one another laterally of the toothbrush so that these groups may bear against the upper and lower teeth, inside or out, with the bristles entering the sulci at an angle appropriate for their cleansing, these bristles being optionally forwardly inclined, cut at a taper to facilitate brushing of the rear sulci or separated by a group of conventional bristles which are shorter than the sulcus bristles for brushing the crowns of the teeth.
