Abstract: A disposable cleaning pad having a grout cleaning brush includes a bristle attachment for use with a disposable pad. The bristle attachment is molded into a rectangular base piece forming a stand-alone removable brush that can be removably attached to a disposable pad. A top rectangular piece of similar dimensions to the base is connected to the end portion of the base by way of a hinge. The ends opposite the hinge have mating clasps that allow for the brush assembly to be securely yet removably fastened to an existing cleaning pad which is then mounted in the normal manner to the cleaning system. The brush assembly enjoys a longer life than that expected from a disposable cleaning pad thus the brush assembly may be reused many times before it needs to be replaced.

Abstract: The present invention relates to prebiotic compositions and formulations comprising an ?-hydroxy acid and salts thereof, such as lactic, glycolic, citric, tartaric or malic acid and a prebiotic agent, such as inulin, fructo-oligosaccharide (FOS), lactulose, galacto-oligosaccharide (GOS), raffinose, stachyose, isomalto-oligosaccharide, and xylo-oligosaccharide. Prebiotic compositions of the present invention provide a surprisingly synergist prebiotic effect and may be administered in several forms to a user, such as by application to a premoistened wiping substrate or dry bath tissue.

Abstract: A DuraLock scrubber and scraper attachments with replaceable surface scrubbing and scraping capability, that includes providing a removable/replaceable surface scrubbing and scraping attachments, and attaching the elements to the mop head holder for scrubbing and scraping the floor surface. This provides a mop handle with surface scrubbing and scraping capability and includes an attachment for rigid connection to a mop handle, which is adapted to carry replaceable surface cleaning element(s). The replaceable elements can be a scraper, scrubbing pad or bristles or other abrasive materials that can be interchanged or replaced depending upon the job or as the components wear without requiring removal of the mop head and further allows the replacement of the mop head without requiring removal and reinstallation of the elements.

Abstract: A replaceable antimicrobial system for providing a replaceable antimicrobial surface to inhibit and reduce microorganism growth on a surface. The replaceable antimicrobial system generally includes providing an antimicrobial cover, positioning the antimicrobial cover upon an object such as a handle, and securing the antimicrobial cover to the object or removably affixing the antimicrobial cover with adhesive. The securing of the antimicrobial cover is accomplished by heat shrinking the antimicrobial cover upon the object. Alternatively, the securing of the antimicrobial cover is accomplished by an adhesive backing attached to the antimicrobial cover. After a period of time of usage where the antimicrobial cover loses its effectiveness to inhibit microorganisms, the antimicrobial cover is removed and a replaced with a new antimicrobial cover.

Abstract: Provided is a combination broom and cleaning fabric adapter apparatus. The apparatus may include a planar plate having a first and a second surface. The plate may be configured to position a cleaning fabric on the first surface. The first surface may include grippers to grip the cleaning fabric onto the first surface. A stick attachment device may be connected to the second surface for attaching a standard broom or mop stick to the plate at a first location on the plate. The stick attachment device may be configured to allow the stick to pivot freely in two-dimensions relative to the plate. A broom brush attachment device may be connected to the second surface adjacent an edge of the plate for attaching a broom brush to the plate.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a paint-coating brush consisting of a rectangular flat body plate, a handle installed on a center of an upper surface of the body plate, and a plurality of bristles bundled on a lower surface of the body plate, wherein a front end portion of the said plate is bended downward to form a sharp R-shaped muzzle section. The procedures of using the paint-coating brush include: (A) dipping the plurality of bristles in paint; (B) using a front end (tip) portion of the body plate to contact a borderline of a target object and then coating towards a central part of the object being painted. However, the procedure of masking non-coating areas is not included.

Abstract: An automatically rotating sponge apparatus for facilitating reaching and cleaning in hard to reach places comprising an extendable rod having disposed at one end a rotating attaching member, a motor, and a switch for actuating the motor, wherein attaching member is configured to attach and hold a conventional sponge and the attaching member is connected to the motor such that it rotates about its center axis by the motor when the motor is actuated. In this manner, the rotating sponge apparatus allows a conventional sponge being held by the attaching member to be extended beyond arms reach the length of the extendable rod and automatically rotated to generate cleaning action friction.

Abstract: A mop device that includes a mop handle connection member. The mop handle connection member has a central body having a first end and an opposed second end with means for engaging a mop handle member associated with the first end of the central body and at least one jaw member associated with the second end of the central body. The mop handle connection member includes a jaw member that is configured to releasably connect with a mop strand bundle. The jaw member has a first end proximate to the central body an opposed second end distal to the first end and a central arm region contiguously located therebetween. The central arm region has a flange projecting outward from the central arm and at least one detent defined in the central arm in spaced relationship to the flange. The mop device also has at least one accessory member connected to the mop handle connection member.

Abstract: A hand operated squeeze sponge mop with a disposable sponge assembly where the sponge has a pair of spaced apart posts. Each post has a multiplicity of vertically ascending transverse notches on opposite sides of each post. A pair of spaced apart retention members is located on the main body, each retention member respectively having an aligned opening to receive a respective post and a pair of teeth to be received in a respective transverse notch of a post. Each tooth is formed as part of a tooth section having a transverse tooth and an upper squeeze handle. Each tooth section further includes an exterior flared section which functions as a spring. The spring force of the flared sections of a respective member forces a respective tooth into engagement with a transverse notch on a post.

The surface may be curved. The surface 19 may comprise one or more formations 20 for cleaning the dirty surface.

The mop strand bundle is composed of a plurality of strand members disposed in parallel relation to one another and connected to one another in at least one location. The mop strand bundle also includes a head band. The head band is positioned at a location between first and second ends of the mop strands other than medial between the first and second ends of the strand bundle. A cleaning pad is removably secured to the base member adjacent the longitudinal rows of bristle tufts. Supplementary rows of bristle tufts having a longitudinal extent substantially less than the longitudinal extent of the first row of bristle tufts are centrally positioned. The cleaning pad includes an arcuate recess to provide clearance for the supplementary rows of bristle tufts.

Abstract: A flexible fabric is provided for converting a broom into a mop. The flexible fabric has a center hole and a periphery region sufficiently large to cover the bristles of a broom. The center hole is sized so as to receive a traditional broom handle, but the center hole is sufficiently small so that it will not allow passage of the broom bristles. In use, the broom handle is projected through the flexible fabric's center hole and the fabric's edge is positioned downwardly so as to extend beyond the ends of the broom bristles so that the fabric's periphery region covers the broom bristles. Preferably, the flexible fabric is provided in a prepackaged format having a plurality of flexible fabrics which are saturated with a cleansing solution. Thus, the broom and fabric combination provide a mop construction which can be used for cleaning surfaces.

Abstract: There is a need to reduce raw materials used in the manufacturing of wet mops, to reduce the weight of the wet mop which will decrease user fatigue and related injuries and to address the difficulty of attaching standard wet mops to commonly used mop handles. The improvement is a tubular headband wet mop with yarn strands on only one side of the headband, reducing the amount of unused yarn incorporated into the wet mop while not reducing floor surface coverage area. The tubular headband also eliminates the possibility of exposing the bottom side of the mop handle which can damage or mar the floor surface, coatings and finishes. This reduction in raw materials results in a lighter product, which reduces effort required to lift and wring out the wet mop, and reduces fatigue and injuries associated with mopping.

Abstract: A cleaning device for cleaning a medical instrument such as an endoscope, which includes a fabric, wipe, or sponge impregnated with a composition which comprises: an enzyme such as a protease, alcalase, cellulase, lipolase: a surfactant and a humectant present in an amount to ensure that sufficient water is absorbed to reduce any hazard which would arise from use of the enzyme in dry form while maintain activity of the enzyme during storage. The cleaning device is adapted to remove at least a portion of externally adherent soiling on a surgical instrument by mechanical wiping; and to redistribute any remaining external soiling such that it is distributed as a film of thinner and more uniform thickness than on the unwiped instrument. The invention also relates to packaging of the cleaning device, and methods of use thereof.

Two cleaning disks are connected to an underside of the case and driven by two gears connected to a roller. Each of the cleaning disks has multiple brushes so as to sweep dust into the collection box. A handle is connected with a yoke member which is pivotally connected to the case and a mopping unit is connected to the case and enclosed by a frame which is movable up and down to allow the brushes to contact the floor when use. The case is pivoted 180 degrees to allow the mopping unit to be located to mop the floor.

An exterior rotatable sleeve threadedly surrounds the lower section which includes an interior movable piston which is further connected to a stationary spring. The lower section at its bottom end is connected to a first and second rotatable and removable clamp member comprising a respective bottom brush and bottom scrubber for cleaning. The mop through a respective clockwise and counter-clockwise rotation of the sleeve controls a respective closing and opening movement of two clamp members to thereby respectively hold or release a mop yarn, wherein the closing movement further results in contracting the spring so that the reduced spring stores a compression force having sufficient power to enable it to push the clamp members rotatably apart when the sleeve is rotated in the counter-clockwise direction.

The downward angle of the fingers are defined by the relative distance between the center portion of the base and the inside upper side of the cap.

The projections thus serve to securely attach the cleaning pad to the head and also provide an abrasive scrubbing functionality to the cleaning tool.

A cleaning cloth can be mounted to the mop head.

The method uses a washing apparatus for washing the mop cover disposed on the holding device, the washing apparatus has an electromotive drive unit which is supplied with power from an accumulator and by which the wet mop is retracted and conveyed to the washing apparatus. The power input from the accumulator is limited during the time the wet mop is retracted. Additionally or alternatively, retracting of the wet mop is supported by an energy store that has previously been supplied with power from the accumulator.

Each set of walls extends through an aperture on a mounting head, and the scrubber is held in place by the engagement of the ridges with a mounting face on the mounting head.
