Abstract: A brush structure contains: a holder and multiple cleaning assemblies. The holder includes multiple ribs. A respective cleaning assembly includes a positioning element, a brushing unit, at least one flexible element, and a support plate. The respective cleaning assembly is accommodated in a respective receiving groove by using the positioning element, and a top of the positioning element is engaged by a respective rib. The positioning element has an accommodation orifice defined therein, and the positioning element has a stop shoulder extending from an inner wall of a top thereof. The brushing unit has a base and multiple brushes mounted on the base, the base is received in the accommodation orifice of the positioning element, and the multiple brushes extend out of the accommodation orifice and are stopped by the stop shoulder. The at least one flexible element abuts against the base and the support plate.

Abstract: A water propulsion toothbrush assembly for rinsing and cleaning a user's mouth by urging streams of water therethrough to remove plaque and food debris on and between teeth as well as below the gum line during brushing is provided. The toothbrush assembly includes a handle connected to a head, wherein the head provides a plurality of outlet apertures nested between conventional and novel soft bristles along the brush surface thereof. The plurality of outlet apertures is fluidly connected to a water source by way of veins extending through the head and handle of the toothbrush assembly.

Abstract: In one particular embodiment, a basting device incorporates a handle body, having a handle portion and a working portion, and a bristle cartridge removably coupled to the working portion of the handle body. The bristle cartridge has a set of first bristles projecting outwardly from the cartridge in a first direction and a set of second bristles projecting outwardly from the cartridge in a second direction different from the first direction. At least one of the first and second bristles has a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end being attached to the bristle cartridge and the distal end having a slit therein extending from the distal end toward the proximal end. The slit has a width sized to cause fluid to be drawn into the slit through capillary action when the distal end of the bristle is submerged in the fluid.

Abstract: A first brush has an elongated handle, a brush head having downwardly facing bristles and a cavity opened to the top of the brush head. A second brush includes a closed loop handle, a brush head having downwardly facing bristles, a scraper on the front of the brush head and a latch on the back. The second brush fits snugly into the cavity of the first brush with the bristles of the second brush facing into the cavity, and the handle in an upward position extending outwardly from the cavity. The scraper slides into a slot on the front end of the cavity and the latch firmly attaches the second brush to the first brush. When the brushes are attached, the two brushes act as a single brush with two handles, allowing a user to apply direct pressure to the brush head of the first brush.

Abstract: A system and method that utilizes modular components to form a customizable brush for different applications with ease and at a low cost. The system and method utilizes three main components: a base, a plurality of rails, and a plurality of strip brush elements. The plurality of rails is fastened to the base and the plurality of rails holds the strip brush elements to the base to form a brush. All three components may be made of a thermoplastic or thermoset, non-metallic material which can be either rigid or flexible to allow the resulting brush to be easily recyclable.

Abstract: A brush for a machine for the horizontal and/or vertical cleaning of surfaces which are provided with grooves, joints, unevennesses and/or pores is provided to move the brush in a plane which is substantially parallel to a surface. This brush is provided with at least one set of first hairs for cleaning or polishing the parts of the surface which extend between the grooves, joints, unevennesses and/or pores, and at least one set of second hairs for cleaning the grooves, joints, unevennesses and/or pores. The brush includes a base plate which is releasably attached to one or several brush parts, which are provided with one or several sets of second hairs. A machine for the horizontal and/or vertical cleaning of surfaces which are provided with grooves, joints, unevennesses and/or pores is provided with one or several of such brushes.

Abstract: A system and method that utilizes modular components to form a customizable brush for different applications with ease and at a low cost. The system and method utilizes three main components: a base, a plurality of rails, and a plurality of strip brush elements. The plurality of rails is fastened to the base and the plurality of rails holds the strip brush elements to the base to form a brush. All three components may be made of a thermoplastic or thermoset, non-metallic material which can be either rigid or flexible to allow the resulting brush to be easily recyclable.

Abstract: A device and method for coupling a cleaning implement to a floor cleaning machine. The device includes a plate that has a first edge, a second edge, and a main body portion extending between the first edge and the second edge. The device also includes projections and recesses positioned to releasably engage with each other to releasably couple the plate with the cleaning implement, and a channel that is coupled to one of the first edge and the second edge of the plate to receive an edge of the cleaning implement. The channel has a first end for initially receiving the edge of the cleaning implement during insertion, and a second end positioned opposite the first end. A retainer is in communication with the channel to selectively prevent the cleaning implement from disengaging relative to the coupling device.

Abstract: An oral care implement is provided having a head frame and a cleaning elements assembly attached thereto with tooth cleaning elements extending from one or more carriers. One or more central carriers can be suspended via a flexible bridge between a pair of support carriers attached to the head frame. The bridge may be formed from an elastomer and permit the one or more central carriers to move from an initial position toward the head frame during use. The bridge may include rigid supports and flexible elastomeric supports. The carriers and the bridge can be formed as a unitary assembly attached to the head frame, such as via mechanical connections. The mechanical connections could include snap-fit connections.

Each brush element (10) comprises a brush body (11) with a functional side (13) on a first side of the brush body (11), the functional side (13) having bristles (14), and with a carrier side (12) on a second side of the brush body (11). The carrier side (12) of each brush element (10) exhibits at least one clamping means (15), which together with a receptacle (32) of the carrier (30) provides for a removable attachment. Each clamping means (15) exhibits at least two elastic catch hooks (16), which lock into one of the receptacles (32).

The invention relates in particular to a bristle holder for a brush, the bristle holder having a frame, a bristle anchoring means, and a back part, the back part having a first end area adjacent to the handle part of a connectable brush and a second end area adjacent to the brush end, the first end area supporting at least one first connecting element and the second end area supporting at least one positioning element and at least one holding element. The invention furthermore relates to a brush with and for a bristle holder of the described type.

Abstract: A half-moon brush or other cosmetic applicator is in two parts, each having a head and a flat handle. The handle of each part has a wide major face and a narrow side face. The two parts are combined in a first configuration with the two narrow side faces abutting and the heads side by side to form a single wide, flat head, and are combined in a second configuration with the two wide major faces abutting and the heads face to face to form a single thicker, less wide, flat head. Each of the parts of the applicator has magnetic components that cooperate with magnetic components in the other part to hold the applicator parts together in both the first and the second configurations.

Abstract: One embodiment of an applicator comprises a brush head with a ferrule, and a brush handle. The ferrule has the head at one end and the handle at the other end. Magnetic elements, at least one of which is a magnet, are attached to the brush handle and ferrule where the two parts connect. The brush head can be removed from the handle, assembled with the handle, and switched easily whenever needed. The ferrule can be kept firmly on the handle by the action of the magnet inside. The head can be retracted by sliding a sleeve mounted on the handle forward over the sides of the head. The head, when removed from the handle, can be washed without the risk of water penetrating the sleeve mechanism. The head can also be replaced or interchanged, which can greatly enlarge the versatility of the brush and also avoids waste of material.

Abstract: A brush device can be releasably attached to a distal end of a pool broom and has a plurality of strategically placed brushes which brushingly engage the surfaces of the beams of a pool cage to clean those surfaces. The brushes are mounted on a head that can be angularly adjusted so the brushes will engage the cage surfaces in a manner which is conducive to thorough cleaning of those surfaces. The brushes are releasably mounted so they can be removed for cleaning or replacement.

Abstract: A device and method for coupling a floor cleaning implement to a floor cleaning machine. The device and method selectively couple a floor cleaning implement, such as a pad or brush, in manner that can be easily released and connected. In one embodiment the coupling device comprises a plate having a first and second channel coupled to opposite edges of the plate. The channels are dimensioned and configured to receive edges of the cleaning implement. At least one channel has projecting members that selectively prevent the cleaning implement from leaving the channel. In some embodiments, the plate has a plurality of recesses dimensioned and configured to selectively receive projections extending from the cleaning implement. The projections of the cleaning implement only fully engage the recesses of the coupling device when an actuator presses the cleaning implement against a floor.

Abstract: A toothbrush having a compact toothbrush head, which contributes to the economy, cost reduction, and saving of resources, includes a brush base which is provided with consumable brush bundles and which is attachable to and detachable from the toothbrush head. The brush base of the toothbrush is an elastic member in order to absorb excessive pressure added to the brush bundles and secure stable elasticity and a substantial elastic amount for those brush bundles in contact with recessed and projected portions of teeth or those brush bundles entered into space between teeth to enable user to gently clean the teeth and gum. Even when excessive pressure is added to brush bundles, the inventive toothbrush effectively functions for the teeth brushing process. A hole penetrates perpendicularly the toothbrush head, and a slit is formed therein. Further, the inner surface of the slit is formed with recesses and projections.

Abstract: This invention pertains to a novel paint brush with a removable bristle pack and a cantilevered bristle clamping panel. The paint brush provides ready cleaning after use by depressing one end of the cantilevered bristle clamping panel to release the bristle pack in order to rinse all of the bristles in a cleaning solution. A paintbrush comprising: (a) a paintbrush body and handle, the body having formed therein a cavity open on one side for receiving a bundle of parallel bristles and a bristle holder; (b) a bristle holder holding a bundle of parallel bristles, the holder fitting into the cavity; and (c) a panel mounted in cantilever manner over the cavity, the panel at a first end gripping the bristle holder and bristles when in a first position and when in a second position releasing the bristle holder and bristles.

Abstract: Side brushes adapted to be mounted on a sweeping machine and operative as a brush about a rotation axis are disclose herein. The side brushes include a base element and a bristle segment. According to one embodiment, the base element has at least one outer edge and an elongate channel extending inwardly from a respective outer edge. The bristle segment has a plurality of bristles and a frame member. The frame member has a configuration complementary to a configuration of the elongate channel such that interaction between the frame member and the base element adjacent the elongate channel couples the bristle segment to the base element. Each bristle has a top end, and all of the bristle top ends are fused together to define the frame member.

Abstract: A paint brush for use in corner applications is provided. The paint brush comprises a handle having a first end and second end, a ferrule receiver, and a detachable ferrule. The ferrule receiver is attached to the second end of the handle and includes a locking mechanism for providing securable attachment of a ferrule. The ferrule is disposed in slidable engagement with the ferrule receiver and is configured to an angle of less than 180 degrees. The ferrule includes a plurality of bristles secured therein, and extending axially therefrom.

Abstract: This invention pertains to a novel paint brush with a removable bristle pack and a cantilevered bristle clamping panel. Abstract: A side brush, which is adapted to be mounted on the body of a sweeping machine, for use as a brush rotatable about a rotation axis, and which includes a base and a plurality of individual bristle segments detachably mountable thereto, having bristles included therein integrated for a solid unit with a frame member joining the same. The base includes a substantially planar disc assembly which is provided integrally with a coupling system for coupling the bristle segments therewith on a snap fit principle. The coupling system includes elongated channels disposed in the base in a substantially radial direction and extending through the base, opening all the way to the edge thereof, which enable coupling the bristle segments immovably to the engagement with the body of a sweeping machine by means of the base with fasteners interconnecting the same.

Abstract: A disposable toothbrush that can folded and unfolded upon it self is shown and described. The toothbrush is constructed of two folding sections that each contain bristles each half can join to the other half and so provide a rigid toothbrush for brushing. Prior to use, the toothbrush is in the unfolded position so that the bristles in each of the brush lie flat. This orientation presents a toothbrush with very narrow width for ease of storage.

Abstract: A convertible broom which has two sections each retaining a multiplicity of bristles on their respective lower surfaces. The two sections have means to retain them together and when in this condition, the joined sections can be used as a conventional straight broom or angle broom with the sections pushed or swept by an elongated handle retained in the first section. The two sections can also be separated and the second section which has a short handle retained thereon or grasping means incorporated therein can then be used as a handheld whisk broom.

The annular hub and the stem of the handle form a juncture which has a retaining block formed on the inner side of the annular hub. The brush head may be inserted into the annular hub from the end where the notch is located. The plane of the notch is in contact with the plane of the handle where the retaining block is located to form a latched bucking to allow the brush head to be inserted into the annular hub for a selected depth and anchored.

Abstract: A toothbrush with removable brushing members includes a handle, a brush head extending from the handle, and a first brushing member of soft wood. The brush head includes a bottom surface and a body together defining a cavity for receiving the first brushing member. The brush head further includes an anchoring member extending partially around the inside perimeter of the body except at a first end of the inside perimeter of the body. The first brushing member is inserted into the cavity at the first end and is slid along the cavity into the anchoring member. The anchoring member compresses against and bites into the sides of the first brushing member to secure the first brushing member in the cavity. The toothbrush can include multiple brushing members. In one embodiment, the brushing members are stubs made of siwak sticks so that effective dental cleaning can be carried out using siwak.

Abstract: A two in one broom comprising a standard sweep broom with a detachable push broom to extend the capacity of the broom. To provide support for the combination a brace having incl9ined legs is used wherein the handle of the sweep broom is enclosed in an arc of the brace. The brace is connected to the head of the push broom with slotted flanges extending obliquely from the legs and fastened to the head. The handle of the broom can be adjusted for different angulations and a scale can be located on the sweep broom head for measuring the type of angulation desired.

Abstract: A fused filament tuft includes a plurality of filaments which are fused on at least one end to form a cluster or tuft. A cross section of the tuft of filaments may have any shape, such as round, rectangular, or oval. The fused filament tufts fabricated from metallic filaments may be formed by fusing at least one end with a welding process and then cutting the plurality of filaments. Filaments fabricated from synthetic materials may be fused into tufts with sonic welding and then cut to length. A nonfused end of each tuft may be flared by squeezing the perimeter of the tuft at substantially the fused end thereof. A plurality of tufts may be captured to form a brush with a base structure. A fused brush strip is an unified lengthwise progression of metallic filaments which may exceed twenty inches. The fused brush strip does not require a base structure to retain a plurality of filaments. The filaments are joined on one end thereof. The fused brush strip is preferably formed with a welding process.

Abstract: A toothbrush with removable brushing members includes a handle, a brush head extending from the handle, and one or more brushing members. The brush head includes a bottom surface and a body together defining a cavity for receiving one or more brushing members. The brush head further includes an anchoring member extending partially around the inside perimeter of the body. The brushing members are placed against the bottom surface and are anchored in the cavity by the anchoring member. In one embodiment, the brushing members are stubs made of sywack. A sywack stick can be cut into stubs of a desired height and assembled into the toothbrush of the present invention so that effective dental cleaning can be carried out using sywack.

In assembly the handle is merely inserted into the ferrule until the pin snaps into place, and the bristle pack can be removed for cleaning or changing by depressing the pin which will thereby cause the bristle pack to be disengaged.

Abstract: The present invention comprises an applicator for coatings such as paints, stains, varnish, and other such materials. The applicator may be a brush, foam, or other applicator as conventionally used for such materials. According to the present invention, the handle of the applicator is adapted to be received in the hand of a user when the hand is in a substantially relaxed posture, and supports the hand in the posture. The handle of an applicator made according to the present invention also may include visual or other aids to promote the use of a relaxed hand posture to hold the applicator.

Abstract: A paint brush assembly is provided that has a handle subassembly that is detachably engageable with a paint applicator subassembly, such as a bristle pack. The rear portion of the paint applicator assembly is provided with a handle connector and the forward end portion of the handle subassembly is provided with a tool connector. The handle connector is detachably associated with the tool connector by slidably inserting the handle connector into the tool connector. During the inserting, end portions of each one of a pair of resilient arms in the handle connector become reversibly engaged and interlocked with a different window provided in the tool connector. Manual depression of the handle connector's exposed arm end portions in the windows releases the arms from engagement with the tool connector windows, and permits slidable separation of the handle connector from the tool connector.

Abstract: The present invention is directed toward a foot scrubber and massager formed of modular parts. The foot scrubber has a base module that defines a foot print shaped recess. Inside the recess are a number of holes that aid in securing the bristle module and retaining module in the recess. The bristle module corresponds in size and shape to the recess in the base module has bristles extending outward from the bristle module. A securing module secures the bristle module in the base module.

Abstract: This invention pertains to a novel paint brush with inverted bristle clamping panel, a removable bristle pack and a panel hinge yield mechanism. The paint brush provides ready cleaning after use by disengaging the hinged inverted bristle clamping panel, removing the bristles and thereby exposing all of the bristles to the cleaning solution. The panel has a resilient release mechanism which yields slightly when undue force is applied to the inverted hinged panel against the bristles.
