Patent number: 8516646Abstract: A dusting cloth structure for use with a duster includes a sleeve body whose outer surface is provided with a pile layer or a cloth strip layer and which has a receiving groove therein for receiving an external duster shank. One end of the sleeve body is formed with a sleeve opening. A portion of the sleeve body that is away from the sleeve opening is formed with a dividing portion extending toward the sleeve opening. The dividing portion defines two end grooves in the sleeve body, wherein the end grooves are divided from each other and communicate with the receiving groove. Moreover, the inner wall of the receiving groove is formed with a joint accommodating groove along the vertical direction of the surface of the sleeve body to prevent the sleeve body from coming off the shank.Type: GrantFiled: January 23, 2013Date of Patent: August 27, 2013Inventor: Ya-Ching Yang

Patent number: 8356381Abstract: A structure for automatically rotating a spiral rod is provided. The structure allows a dusting cloth to be turned into a spiral shape along the spiral rod by rotating a rotating element, and, while the rotating element is being rotated, a torsion spring generates a restoring torque. Once the rotating element is no longer rotated, a pulling element pressing against the teeth inside the rotating element retains the rotating element and thus keeps the dusting cloth in the spiral shape. When the pulling element is subsequently pulled away from the teeth of the rotating element, the rotating element automatically rotates in the reverse direction due to the restoring torque of the torsion spring.Type: GrantFiled: November 12, 2010Date of Patent: January 22, 2013Inventors: Ya-Ching Yang, Yi-Jun Pan

Patent number: 8205293Abstract: A steam mop having a main body having a boiler with a water inlet and a steam outlet positioned therein, a pump having an inlet and an outlet with the pump outlet connected to the boiler inlet, a water container for storing water connected to the pump inlet, and a steam pocket frame connected to the steam outlet, where the activation of the pump pumps water from the water container to the boiler for generation of steam. In an embodiment of the invention, a steam mop having a main body with a boiler, a water container, a mechanical water pump between the boiler and container and at least one side arm connecting the boiler steam outlet to a fabric steam pocket frame. The water pump is actuated by movement of the mop when cleaning to send water to the boiler. The steam pad frame is substantially rectangular with a plurality of baffles in a square grid formation extending outwardly to distribute steam to distribute steam between the baffles.Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 2007Date of Patent: June 26, 2012Assignee: Euro-Pro Operating LLCInventors: Maximilian Rosenzweig, Vrdoljak Ognjen

Patent number: 8118800Abstract: A fluid absorbent tape is divided into sections that can be separated to customize the length of the tape and simplify use. In one embodiment of the invention, the fluid absorbent tape includes an absorbent material enclosed in a fluid permeable cover to form an elongated fluid absorbent tape. Separating structure formed in a transverse direction through the elongated fluid absorbent tape divides the elongated tape into a first section of fluid absorbent tape and a second section of fluid absorbent tape. The first section of fluid absorbent tape is separable from the second section of fluid absorbent tape along the separating structure. In another embodiment of the invention, the fluid absorbent tape includes a fluid absorbent material including a super absorbent polymer. An elongated fluid permeable cover having a length encloses the fluid absorbent material, and is divided into sections along the length.Type: GrantFiled: November 5, 2009Date of Patent: February 21, 2012Assignee: Diversey, Inc.Inventor: Andrew M. Patent number: 7716777Abstract: Dusting article structure including a duster body and a handle. The duster body includes layers of holding sheets, a fibrous-filament layer, and a cleaning base sheet. A lower layer of the holding sheets and the cleaning base sheet are symmetrically cut to form strip-like cleaning pieces. The filaments of the fibrous-filament layer include numerous tiny pores disposed thereon. The handle includes a grip portion and a connector portion. A coupling block is disposed on the grip portion and includes inserting posts and pivoting grooves to respectively engage with pivoting holes and a pivoting rod of the connector portion thereby. The grip portion is mounted pivotally onto the connector portion having retaining rods to be engaged with holding spaces of the thermo-fusion bonded duster body. The tiny pores disposed at the fibrous-filament layer absorb and trap small grains of dust. The grip portion of the handle may be bent for folding.Type: GrantFiled: June 13, 2005Date of Patent: May 18, 2010Assignee: Rock Tone Enterprise Co., Ltd.Inventor: Pei Yuan Lee

Patent number: 6237182Abstract: A unitary molded flexible elastomer floor dust mop attachment in which the flexible member is affixed at a location between the floor dust mop handle and the floor dust mop head. Through the use of the elastomeric controlled flexible member being rectangular or elongated in shape, the handle maintains rigidity in the direction in which the dust mop head is moved but is flexible in the lateral direction and therefore can be bent at controlled angles relative to the floor dust mop head. Therefore, when the floor dust mop head comes in contact with a stationary object such as the leg of a table, the floor dust mop head will flex or flow around the object without damage to the mop head or object.Type: GrantFiled: April 12, 2000Date of Patent: May 29, 2001Inventor: Simon Ralph Cassar
