Scraper-type Flue Cleaner Patents (Class 15/249.2)
  • Patent number: 8555453
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for removing residue in a furnace chamber of a furnace, in particular a sintering furnace, comprising a scraper frame which is designed in such a way that it can be inserted into the furnace chamber and moved in the latter, and also at least one scraper element, which is arranged on the scraper frame in such a way that, by means of the scraper element, the residue can be removed at least on side walls and/or a ceiling of the furnace chamber when the scraper frame is moved. With said device, it should be possible to remove deposits in the furnace chamber in a simple and efficient manner without substantially impairing the progress of production.

  • Patent number: 7993467
Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided to remove matte-sticking adhered to an inner surface of an inclined rear jacket of an exhaust gas hood for collecting exhaust gas discharged during the converter operation in copper smelting. Scraping means 10a˜10f are each provided with a scraping part 20 for scraping off matte-sticking by moving slidably across the inner surface of the rear jacket 8 by driving means 11 from a sidewall of the exhaust gas hood to at least over the centerline L of the width of the rear jacket 8. The scraping means are arranged in pairs at both right and left sidewalls of the exhaust gas hood 6 in multiple levels along the inclination of the rear jacket 8, thereby allowing the matte-sticking adhered to the rear jacket 8 to be removed over almost its entire surface.

Abstract: A chimney cleaning apparatus and method of using the same to clean a chimney. The chimney cleaning apparatus comprises a support structure for attaching the chimney cleaning apparatus adjacent an exhaust outlet of a chimney. An adjustable rotatable arm is supported by the support structure and a drive mechanism rotates the adjustable rotatable arm relative to the support structure. A cable is attached to a free end of the adjustable rotatable arm and the cable, during use, extending into a discharge passage of the chimney to facilitate cleaning of the chimney when the drive mechanism rotates the adjustable rotatable arm.

  • Patent number: 6604257
Abstract: The present invention discloses an apparatus and method for cleaning an exhaust conduit that has chemical substances deposited on its inside wall by utilizing a shaft that has a plurality of scraping elements mounted thereto capable of making vertically or radially oscillating motions inside the exhaust conduit such that the chemical substances can be dislodged from the inside wall and the exhaust conduit can be effectively cleaned. The apparatus may optionally include fluid nozzles provided in the shaft for dispensing a cleaning fluid during the cleaning process to further enhance the efficiency. The apparatus may further include a vacuum device for effectively removing the debris dislodged from the inside wall during such cleaning process.

  • Publication number: 20030070247
Abstract: The present invention provides a reaction chamber cleaning apparatus comprising a chamber, a blade apparatus comprising at least one annular mounting member, at least four scraping blades attached peripherally about the annular mounting member, and a reciprocal movement unit for rotating said scraping blade(s) circumferentially back and forth along the interior surface of said chamber to scrape the interior surface of said chamber; said reaction chamber cleaning apparatus also comprising a vortex unit comprising a generally conical outer shell attached to and extending downwardly from the top plate top plate, and a liquid inlet arranged in relation to the outer shell to tangentially introduce liquid into the outer shell, thereby forming a laminar sheet of fluid on the inner surface of the outer shell; said vortex unit further comprising a baffle and a concentric chamber bounded by the outer surface of the baffle, the inner surface of the outer shell, and the bottom surface of the top plate.

  • Patent number: 6182325
Abstract: An apparatus for cleaning a chamber is disclosed. Scraping blades are rotatably mounted within a chamber and parallel to a longitudinal axis of the chamber. The scraping blades are rotated circumferentially within the chamber, scraping the inner surface of the chamber to prevent the buildup of particulate matter. An annular gear assembly provides mounting support for the scraping blades. A pneumatically operated pushrod assembly rotates the scraping blades circumferentially within the chamber. The annular gear assembly and pushrod assembly do not obstruct a direct path through the chamber.
