Abstract: In abstract a preferred embodiment of this invention is a multipurpose cleaning device which can be used as a bath and tile scrubbing device, can be used for cleaning the interior of toilet bowls and other hard to reach locations as well as being adapted for use in conjunction with floors, walls, ceilings and the like. The device is in the form of an encapsulated motor or engine which is preferably at least water resistant in construction and has a removable longitudinally extending handle as well as laterally disposed gripping means. Dispensing means are also included in the present invention as are a plurality of different shaped scrubbing means.
Abstract: A tooth-brushing device comprising a brushing unit provided with rotating brushes, and a dentifrice-carrying cartridge unit. The cartridge unit is attachable to a water faucet and supports an impeller operated by water pressure to rotate the brushes. The cartridge unit also has a passage for conducting water from the faucet to the rotating brushes. The cartridge unit supports a disposable dentifrice tube which is squeezed by the pressure of water from the faucet to force dentifrice from the tube to the brushes.
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a device attachable by way of a flexible conduit to the hot and cold water outlets found in a home, the device comprising a hollow handle structure provided with a cylindrical interior insert which communicates the water from the flexible hose to impinge onto the paddles of a plurality of pelton wheels mounted on a rotary shaft. The pelton wheels then drive the shaft in rotation, the shaft being geared by way of a pinion gear to an output sleeve to which a rotary brush is attached. The spend water is then passed through the sleeve into the brush. Included further in the handle is a control mixture arrangement for controlling the mix of warm and cold water passed therethrough.
Abstract: A paint roller construction comprises a roller which is supported on a support which has a handle. The support carries an electric drive motor for a pump which supplies a paint through a connecting conduit in the support directly into the roller. The interior of the roller is maintained at a predetermined pressure in order that the paint may be delivered outwardly through the pores of the roller applicator surface at a controlled rate for application on a surface. The device also advantageously includes a drive motor which may be operated at a selected speed in order to rotate the roller at an amount which is comparable to the pressure of the paint supply so as to apply the paint at a predetermined application rate and thickness.
Abstract: A bottom cleaning system and apparatus for cleaning submerged portions of hulls includes a cyclically movable brush for operating in cleaning relation to a submerged hull portion while carried submerged in cleaning relation to the hull by an elongate member. Controls for operating the brush are disposed at a position remote from the brush whereby (fluid) connections can extend between the brush and the controls to be operated from the latter. An inflatable diaphragm provides a variably buoyancy which moves the brush between raised and lowered positions into and out of cleaning relation to the hull by controls disposed to be operated at a position remote from the brush. The elongate member can be formed as first and second articulated members whereby the brush can be pivotally operated using articulated movements.
Abstract: An apparatus mountable on a toilet so to wash and clean an individual's private parts; the apparatus including a rotatable brush powered by water, and the brush additionally spraying water so to wash while the brush gently scrubs; the brush being fully adjustable in position by a handle located alongside the toilet, the brush being movable into a stored, out-of-the-way position between the toilet seat and the bowl when not in use so to allow the toilet for other uses, and the apparatus including a water tank containing an electric heater so to heat the water that washes the person.
Abstract: A dental appliance including a curved tubular extension consists of a housing formed with first and second elongated recesses, and first and second pumps secured to the housing for pumping a paste and a fluid directly through the first and second recesses, respectively. A flexible drive shaft is rotatably disposed within the curved tubular extension and one end of the drive shaft is operatively connected to an electric motor within the housing. The housing and the tubular extension formed thereon are divided into first and second portions, which may be separated along a plane substantially intersecting the longitudinal axis of the motor and that of the flexible shaft. A bearing rotatably supports the flexible shaft extending therethrough and secures the first and second portions of the tubular extension together. A toothbrush is drivably attached to the other end of the flexible shaft for rotating therewith.
Abstract: The main disclosure herein relates to a manually-operated washing device, particularly but not necessarily for automative vehicles, which includes an attachable portion that can be quickly clamped to the wand of a coin-operated car-wash unit for enabling a car-owner to wash his car manually in a unique procedure in less than ten minutes with all dirt removed and the least scratching of any wash. The car-wash device includes novel clamping mechanism and other means to enable quick attachment of the attachable portion to the wand while accommodating almost all shapes thereof now in service. A separate garden-hose wand can be included in the device, so the attachable portion can be clamped thereto for performing the fast but excellent car-wash at home (at no cost) exactly as at the coin-wash.
Abstract: A shower head adapted to mix and dispense a detergent and water is disclosed. A rotational shaft with impeller blades mounted on one end and a rotary brush engaging a detergent bar on the other end is rotated in a shower head when water under pressure flowing through the shower head impinges on the blades. Means are employed to keep the rotary brush in contact with the detergent bar when the detergent bar is being consumed during use. Means for diverting water toward or away from the impeller blades are also provided so that a bather may adjust the shower head during use to provide water or a mixture of water and a detergent.
