Cleaning Element Spring Returned Patents (Class 15/250.15)
  • Patent number: 11548477
Abstract: A wiper system (10), comprising a wiper arm (12) having a geometrical axis of rotation (x), a connecting arrangement (14) configured to connect the wiper arm to a motor-driven rotating shaft (100), wherein the connecting arrangement is configured to transfer the rotating motion of the shaft into a rotating motion of the wiper arm about said geometrical axis of rotation, a spring arrangement (24) configured to resiliently press the wiper arm against the connecting arrangement in the axial direction, and a tilting arrangement (30) configured to vary the inclination of the pressed wiper arm relative to said geometrical axis of rotation based on the rotational position of the wiper arm about said geometrical axis of rotation. There is also provided a vehicle comprising such a wiper arm system.

  • Patent number: 11427161
Abstract: The invention relates to a drive arm for driving a wiper blade intended for a motor vehicle, the drive arm extending in a longitudinal direction (X), the drive arm comprising at least one first attachment means (224) for a first end of an elastic return device and at least one second attachment means (234) for the first end of the elastic return device, characterized in that a first distance (d1) measured parallel to the longitudinal direction (X) between the first attachment means (224) and the second attachment means (234) is not zero.

  • Patent number: 11345317
Abstract: An extendable windshield wiper system includes a wiper blade assembly having: a resilient material wiper blade; and a wiper extension rod connected to the wiper blade. A wiper sleeve is configured to move about an arc of rotation with respect to an axis of rotation of the wiper sleeve. A bore of the wiper sleeve has the wiper extension rod slidably disposed within the bore. An actuation portion directs a pressurized fluid to outwardly extend the wiper extension rod from the wiper sleeve and thereby to outwardly extend the wiper blade in an extension direction during a first portion of the arc of rotation. The wiper blade is induced to traverse an extended arc of travel during rotation of the wiper extension rod and the wiper sleeve along the arc of rotation.

  • Patent number: 10801245
Abstract: A power swing door actuator configured for use in a power door actuation system in a motor vehicle having a vehicle door pivotably connected to a vehicle body for movement along a swing path between open and closed positions is provided. The power swing door actuator includes a power-operated drive mechanism connected to the vehicle door with a rotary driven member configured for rotation in response to selective actuation of the power-operated drive mechanism. An elongate rack pivotably connected to the vehicle body and the rotary driven member is maintained in engagement with the rack via a retention member. Rotational movement of the rotary driven member in a first direction causes the vehicle door to move in an opening direction, while rotational movement of the rotary driven member in a second direction causes the vehicle door to move in a closing direction.

  • Publication number: 20120311807
Abstract: The invention is based on a wiper blade (12) with an elongate, spring-elastic carrying element (36) which is precurved in a concave fashion with respect to a vehicle window (22) and has two spring rails (52, 66) which run parallel to one another in a plane, and having a wiper strip (24) which is held with a web (34) of its head strip (30) between the spring rails (52, 66) via the carrier element (36), said spring rails (52, 66) being inserted in longitudinal grooves (32) on both sides of the web (34), wherein the wiper strip (24) is secured in the longitudinal direction (20) relative to the carrier element (36) at least close to one of the ends of said wiper strip (24). It is proposed that the spring rails (52, 66) have, at the longitudinal sides facing one another in their end regions, clips (60, 74) with cutters (62, 76) which, in the mounted state, cut into adjoining walls of the longitudinal grooves (32).

  • Patent number: 8112012
Abstract: A printer ROS window cleaning system enforces unidirectional cleaning motion through a passageway formed in the printer housing. A guide has a distal portion that engages a cleaning tool from insertion until a cleaning portion reaches the rear of the passageway. A cleaning tool deflector positioned at the rear of the passageway biases the cleaning tool from the distal portion of the passageway to a proximate portion so that the cleaning portion contacts the ROS window. A unidirectional cleaning feature ensures that the cleaning portion will contact the ROS window during removal of the cleaning tool by preventing re-insertion of the cleaning tool in the proximate portion of the passageway.
