Abstract: A groundskeeping receptacle has a sidewall with an indentation dimensioned to accept and retain by snap fit a trash picker having a pair of jaws, a lower stem and an upper stem. The interior surface of the sidewall further comprises a pair of diametrically opposed vertical guides, into which a selectively removable divider slides. The exterior surface of the sidewall comprises a plurality of female accessory attachment points, to which a person can attach accessories such as pockets, having at least one corresponding male attachment points.

Abstract: A scoop including a tray and a gripping portion. The tray including a bottom portion having a flat bottom surface and an inclined top surface that distally terminate in a straight beveled edge that has a width that is smaller than a smoking outer wrap. The inclined top surface proximally transitions to a transverse channel having a backstop portion and top panel portion. The transverse channel at least partially open on one lateral end. The gripping portion is attached to, and extending proximally from, the tray enabling a user to: (i) position the straight beveled edge against a surface for scraping smoking material onto the tray; (ii) upwardly tip the trap to collect the scraped smoking material into the transverse channel; and (iii) to selectively dispense the collected smoking material either through the at least partially open lateral end of the transverse channel or back over the straight beveled edge.

Abstract: A multifunctional push-pull mop includes a base plate, a support member, and an elastic member. A user can bring the base plate to which a cleaning cloth is attached into close contact with a floor, a wall, a ceiling, or the like, using a small force, and when the user moves the base plate to which the cleaning cloth is attached from a boundary portion between a floor and a wall or between a wall and a ceiling to the floor, wall, or ceiling, the base plate can be rotated by the elastic restoration force of the elastic member to instantly come into close contact with the floor, wall, or ceiling, thereby allowing the user to conveniently move the base plate from the boundary portion of the floor, the wall, the ceiling, or the like, without detaching the base plate therefrom.

Abstract: A hands-free, easy to use, manufacture and assemble upright dustpan with a hinged back door. The dustpan can pivot on the main body and the hinged back-door can be locked or unlocked via a latching mechanism and a trigger, all located on the dustpan's main body. When the latching mechanism is triggered, the hinged back door opens either under its own weight or under the weight of the debris and thus allows debris to leave the compartment and fall into the waste receptacle when the dust pan is held above the waste receptacle in pivoted orientation. The trigger can be actuated by the edge of the waste receptacle, or any rigged body. Whereas the hinged back door can be closed back by tapping on the floor.

Abstract: A beveled broom and step-on dustpan cleaning system including a step-on dustpan having a step-on portion configured to allow a user to collect debris in a receptacle of the dustpan when a force is applied on the step-on portion. The dustpan includes a lip portion which is configured to seal against a floor surface upon a user stepping on the step-on portion to collect debris. A beveled broom having a broom head configured with a beveled or chamfered shape at a functional angle to provide an effective and efficient contact surface to a floor surface to collect debris during use.

Abstract: A portable device for receiving a liquid from a floor via a squeegee or another scraping implement includes a container having a bottom and an opening that is distanced from the bottom, a ramp that extends from the opening of the container to a position generally levelled with the bottom, the ramp being adapted to receive the squeegee in a scraping movement thereon, and a handle portion that is more distanced from the bottom of the container than the opening thereof. The handle portion is adapted to receive a blade portion of the squeegee in order to move the device therewith.

Abstract: The invention relates to a cleaning device, in particular a floor-cleaning device, comprising a cleaning unit which is at least partly covered by an endless cleaning element that can be rotated continuously in relation to a surface to be cleaned during the action upon a surface to be cleaned. In order to devise a cleaning device in which regeneration of the endless cleaning element is particularly comfortable, the cleaning unit comprises at least one first roller part which can be placed on the surface to be cleaned and a second roller part, the radius of curvature of a roller subsection of the first roller part being different from a radius of curvature of a roller subsection of the second roller part.

Abstract: A semisolid collection device includes a shoveling assembly in a housing and including a retractable scoop, a canopy rotatably put on the scoop, and a roller above the scoop with the canopy moveably passing its surface; a motor including a conveyor belt driven by a motor shaft, and a forward and reverse switch for activating the motor or not; a clamping assembly including first and second clamping plates with the canopy passing therebetween; a transmitting assembly including a reciprocating screw driven by the conveyor belt, a sliding block put on the reciprocating screw, and a mount with the other end of the reciprocating screw disposed therein; two parallel guide rails having one ends secured to the mount; and a connection member secured to the scoop with the other ends of the guide rails and the sliding block secured thereto.

Abstract: A hollow dust pan has a bottom wall, two opposed upstanding side walls, an upstanding rear wall, a top wall, an open front, and a movable lid cover over said open front. A handle is attached to the top wall adjacent the open front to extend rearwardly adjacent to and spaced apart from the top wall. A lid cover has a hinge member rotatably attached to the handle to position a peripheral edge of the lid cover at a front peripheral edge of the open front. A lever with a pivot pin is rotatably attached to the handle and the lever has a lever arm member rotatably engaged at a lower end with the hinge member. A strip spring is attached at a lever handle member of the lever to urge the hinge member to position the lid cover in a closed position.

Abstract: Provided herein are devices which facilitate collection of debris from various locations, such as roads, driveways, and fields. An article provided in accordance with some embodiments includes a receiver with an opening suitable for admitting debris, and also having panels connected thereto which assist in directing debris into the opening of the receiver. An adapter body having a proximal end attached to the receiver permits debris to pass through the adapter body to the distal end of the adapter body, and the distal end is fitted with a collection receptacle, which receptacle comprises a sack, bag or the like that contains perforations or holes sufficiently dimensioned to enable air to pass through the wall of the sack, bag, or the like, while retaining debris within the interior volume of the sack, bag, or the like.

Abstract: An apparatus and methods for collecting swept waste material are described herein. The apparatus includes a dustpan having a base and a wall, a handle, and a plurality of protrusions. The base is configured to be placed in contact with a surface to be cleaned and includes a front lip over which debris can be swept. The wall extends upwardly from at least a portion of the base other than the front lip and is configured to contain debris in the dustpan. The handle is coupled to a top edge of the wall opposite the front lip and extends away from the wall and downwardly from the top edge so that an end of the handle is disposed approximately even with the base. The plurality of protrusions extend inwardly from the wall and are configured to remove debris from bristles of a broom when the broom is swept across the plurality of protrusions.

Abstract: A debris collection device for collecting debris along a vertical surface during drilling of the vertical surface includes a tray being positionable adjacent a vertical surface and under a drill to collect falling debris when the vertical surface is drilled. The tray includes a bottom wall and a perimeter wall being coupled to and extending upwardly from the bottom wall. The perimeter wall and the bottom wall define a collection space to receive the debris.

Abstract: A dual opening refuse gathering apparatus and method for gathering debris and particulate matter is disclosed. The apparatus can be used to clean debris from a variety of surfaces, including but not limited to tables, floors, and streets. The invention disclosed includes a structure with an entrance opening and exit opening to collect then dispose of debris. The invention may be used with an attached gripping unit and/or an attached container. The method of use disclosed involves the collection of debris into the entrance opening and disposal of the debris through the exit opening into an attached container.

Abstract: A lid assembly and method for removing articles from a floor. The lid assembly includes a lid assembly base structure, a fastening device for securing the lid assembly base structure to a storage cart, and a platform riser that forms a support platform at a distal end. The lid assembly further includes a collector arrangement. The collector arrangement is pivotally attached to the support platform and includes a collection panel. With the collection panel, the collector arrangement provides a convenient method for quickly gathering large quantities of articles from the floor and directing them entirely to a storage cart. Operatively, in a retracted position, the collection panel covers an opening through the storage cart.

Abstract: A device and method for collecting and removing various objects, such as balls and lawn refuse, from the ground is described. The collection device comprises an elongated handle connected to a frame assembly. Secured to the frame assembly is a bag wherein objects are collected as the device is pushed by an individual via the elongated handle. An outlet exists for the user to unload the collected objects.

Abstract: A pan for use in connection with a trash receptacle with or without a trash bag inserted into the receptacle. The present pan has brackets formed to engage the rim of the receptacle's opening so that debris can be swept directly into the pan and ultimately deposited into the receptacle. Furthermore, the pan elevates the rim of the receptacle so that debris tends to slide toward the bottom of the receptacle. Once the trash receptacle is stood erect, the pan facilitates the moving of all debris easily and quickly into the container or bag.

The apparatus includes a receptacle adapted to be placed on a support surface having a generally upright handle attached thereto. The receptacle includes a lower tray and a cooperating upper portion. The lower tray has substantially planar bottom wall, a pair of vertically extending side walls which include elongated lateral slots. The upper portion has a generally shell-like configuration, and includes a pair of vertically depending side walls which are slidable disposed between the vertically extending side walls of the lower tray. The upper portion has an arcuate front portion which has a front edge adapted to scrape a horizontal surface and a downwardly sloping rear portion adapted for flush alignment with the bottom wall of the lower tray.

Abstract: The fluid collection system comprises a pan and a blade. The pan incorporates a ramp leading to a sump and the sump has sidewalls for containing fluid therein.
