The drive assembly rotates over a range of motion such that for a first portion of the range of motion the drive assembly causes the rotational and linear movement of the output and rotation of the drive assembly for a second portion of the range of motion causes only the rotational movement of the output.

Abstract: A wringer for mops and the like comprising a united structure made of plastic material with two rocking bodies 1 separated by “V”-shaped channeling 2 and which are joined at the bottom by middle fins 3, the rocking bodies 1 having elastic hinge elements 14 and end portions 9 of elastic structure through which the wringer is anchored to the mouth of the mop bucket 10, the end portions 9 having spring elements 15 for recovering the rocking bodies 1. In addition the wringer 4 can have middle indentations 22 for allowing placement of a device for filtering cleaning water, which comprises a tray support 5. This device for filtering cleaning water is placed under the wringer 4. When water passes through the filtering device that is under the wringer 4, reaches the bucket already filtered with fewer dirt particles.

Abstract: Mop bucket with two compartments positioned horizontally, one for containing clean water and the other for containing dirty water, where each compartment is connected to its corresponding wringer. It comprises three pieces that can be coupled together: a first and main piece that comprises the clean water container, on whose mouth a second piece is coupled, comprising a compartment for dirty water, which is smaller in size and has a lower height, in such a way that after it has been fitted, its bottom is higher than the bottom of the main body, with two mouths for the whole bucket. Said whole is then finished off at the top with a third piece that can be coupled to it and which contains a pair of wringers that coincide with the mouths of each water compartment, together with an opening for the mop head to gain access to the clean water compartment.

  • Patent number: 8474089
Abstract: A double bucket system for flat mops that is mounted in a frame. One bucket contains only clean water. The second bucket is used to hold dirty water. The second bucket has a special fixture attached that the user slides the mop through. The frame compresses the mop as it slides through, which ensure complete, even pressing of the mop to extract the greatest amount of dirty water. The frame includes footpads upon which the user stands during the pressing operation. This ensures that the device remains in place during the pressing. Finally, once the mop has been thoroughly pressed, the user can pick up clean water from the first bucket for the next portion of the floor to be cleaned. In this way, the user is able to quickly clean a large floor with clean water instead of repeatedly dipping the mop back into dirty water.

  • Patent number: 8468644
Abstract: An apparatus for use in cleaning a floor uses a flat mop including a generally flat mop head having a handle and absorbent fabric material. The mop head is foldable to a folded condition, wherein a loop of the fabric material depends from the folded parts. The fabric material is inserted into cleaning liquid to wet the material. The mop head is introduced to a wringer to wring the material between the jaws and a wringing surface. The damp absorbent fabric material is used to mop the floor. The floor is dried using a separate drying tool that includes a head secured to a handle, and one or more attachment devices to attach a dry absorbent cloth to the head. The floor is dried by applying the cloth to the floor using the tool and moving a dry portion of the cloth over the floor.

Abstract: A cleaning tool includes a mop which includes at a lower end a mop head with a wiping object. The mop includes a mop rod formed of an inner rod and an outer rod and a drive mechanism is used to convert the telescoping motion of the mop rod to rotation motion of the mop head. The drive mechanism is a variable speed drive mechanism. As a result, the mop head of the cleaning tool achieves different rotation speeds under dry working condition with a lower resistance compared to washing conditions with a higher resistance. During washing, the mop head is washed rotationally at a lower speed, and the washing operation is conducted through depressing the mop rod.
