The power unit comprises a housing adapted for being gripped in the hand of a user, and the housing has an interior. A motor is mounted in the interior of the housing. An attachment mounting member is located in the interior of the housing, and a power source is located in the housing. At least one interchangeable brush attachment is provided for removably coupling to the power unit. The brush attachment includes a brush portion and an attachment base portion for removably mounting to the attachment mounting member of the power unit. The attachment mounting member has a mounting groove formed by an inner wall surface and an outer wall surface spaced from the inner wall surface. The mounting groove is substantially annular and peg members are located at diametrically opposite locations on the annular mounting groove.
Abstract: A brush and roller spinner and paint mixer comprises a hollow cylindrical body portion, a gripper at one end of the body portion to releasably hold a brush or roller and a handle at the other end of the body portion. The handle is affixed to one end of a helically shaped rod which extends axially through the cylindrical body and is mounted to the gripper member at its other end to cause rotational movement thereof as the handle is moved downwardly. The handle includes a recessed base which extends outwardly from the handle and includes downwardly extending walls having a recess which engages a protrusion on the cylinder cover to halt the motion thereof and lock the handle in place. A paint mixer comprising an elongated shaft with a spiral element at one end may be removably mounted at the other end to the gripper so that the mixer is rotated by movement of the handle.
Abstract: A baby bottle cleaner is provided including a base and a plurality of bottle cleaning assemblies situated on the base and adapted to emit water therefrom. Such assemblies are adapted to accept the baby bottle thereon for cleaning purposes. Further provided is a nipple cleaning cover adapted to be removably coupled to the base such that the nipple cleaning cover encompasses the bottle cleaning assemblies. The nipple cleaning cover further includes a mesh basket positioned in the cover for supporting a plurality of nipples therein such that the nipples are cleaned.
Abstract: A portable scrubbing device (10) includes a support base (12) for placement on a generally horizontal surface, a motor (14) including a rotatable shaft (16) and mounted to the support base (12) so that the rotatable shaft (16) extends upwardly at an angle from the support base (12), and a brush (18) attached to the shaft (16) for rotation with the shaft (16). The shaft (16) includes a portion having a non-circular cross-section, and the brush (18) includes a sleeve (36) having a portion with a corresponding non-circular cross-section that mates with the shaft (16). The angle at which the shaft (16) is mounted relative to support base (12) and the shape of the shaft (16) and the sleeve (36) cooperate to hold the brush (18) on the shaft (16) and to rotate the brush (18) with the shaft (16) without the use of additional fasteners such as set screws or threaded fittings.
Abstract: A device for washing hollow objects comprises a hollow housing forming an inner chamber, a rotor rotatable in the chamber under the action of water, a connection for connecting the rotor to a working instrument for washing an object, a water inlet and water outlet for supplying water into the chamber and withdrawing at least a part of water from the chamber, the water inlet and the water outlet being formed as a water inlet nozzle and a water outlet nozzle arranged coaxially with one another.
Abstract: A cleaning brush is comprised of a shaft having a crank arm and a handle thereon. A rod is removably or fixedly secured to the bottom of the shaft. A plurality of outwardly projecting bristles are disposed along the length of the rod. A scrub brush is removably secured to the bottom of the rod. Abstract: Method and apparatus for removing a label from a container which includes a cylindrical surface, by blowing air so as to be incident tangentially with respect to the cylindrical surface of the container and flow along the container surface toward a leading edge of the label as the container is rotated. An air knife having an air exit slit and a substantially planar surface disposed adjacent to and substantially perpendicular to the air exit slit utilizes the Coanda effect, such that air exiting from the air exit slit bends around and follows the substantially planar surface so as to flow tangentially to the cylindrical surface of the container and thereby remove the label as the container is rotated.
