Abstract: A tire has cap rubber that forms a contact patch. The cap rubber has a plurality of lugs. A shoulder lug, which among the plurality of lugs is that which is located outwardmost in a tire width direction, has a narrow groove that extends in the tire circumferential direction and that partitions the shoulder lug into a main lug portion toward the interior in the tire width direction, and a sacrificial lug portion toward the exterior in the tire width direction; and low-modulus rubber, for which stress at a given elongation is lower than that of the cap rubber, is arranged at a corner where the contact patch at the main lug portion and a groove side face toward the interior in the tire width direction which forms the narrow groove intersect.
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a pneumatic tire has a winding step of forming a rubber ribbon winding body constructing a tread rubber by spirally winding a rubber ribbon obtained by co-extruding a first rubber and a second rubber which are different in hardness. The first rubber is mainly arranged in a first area by making a cross sectional area ratio of the first rubber greater than that of the second rubber. The second rubber is mainly arranged in a second area by making the cross sectional area ratio of the first rubber smaller than that of the second rubber. The cross sectional area ratio of the first rubber becomes progressively smaller in a part of the first area as the second area approaches. The rubber ribbon retains an interface boundary between the first rubber and the second rubber to at least a part of the second area.
Abstract: A non-pneumatic tire having a rim member 1, a ring member 3 disposed at an outer circumferential side of the rim member 1 and provided with a tread 2 on a circumferential face, and a plurality of link mechanisms 4 coupling the rim member with the ring member. Each of the link mechanisms 4 contains a pair of link members 7a, 7b formed of a link 5a, 5b which is connected at a first end with a side portion of the rim member 1 and which is swingable in the circumferential and meridian directions and another link 6a, 6b which is connected at a first end with a side portion of the ring member and 3 which is swingable in the circumferential and meridian directions with second ends of the links being hingedly connected one another to make the links swingable in the meridian direction. A spring member 9 imparting a stiffness against relative displacements in the radian, circumferential and width directions with respect to the rim and ring members 1, 3 is provided on the link mechanisms 4.
