The assembly includes an insert retainer having a retainer head and a retainer pin. The retainer pin has an upper section extending below the retainer head and a grooved center section below the upper section. A valve is centered on the upper section of the retainer pin. An insert is located on the valve. A guide has a central portion centered on the upper section of the retainer pin and four legs extending from the central portion. A collar has a flange and a collar body that is swaged into the center section of the retainer pin.

    Abstract: A tire valve assembly includes a valve shaft movably inserted into a first diameter section of the outer tube. The valve shaft includes a passage and a radial hole which communicates with the passage. A first seal is mounted to the end of the valve shaft that is inserted into the outer tube and is movable relative to a shoulder in the outer tube. A guide tube is mounted to the valve shaft and has a guide portion protruding therefrom which is guided in guide groove in the outer tube. An adjustment tube is threadedly mounted to the first outer threads on the valve shaft. When rotating the adjustment tube, the valve shaft is axially movable in the outer tube to control the gap between the first seal and the shoulder in the outer tube. The gap is changeable and communicates with the radial hole and the passage.

Specifically, a rubber packing piece, washer and securing nut-containing rubber packing piece are employed in this assembly, which cause the tire stem to bind tightly to the hub when the inner tube is inflated. The merit is that air cannot escape quickly from the space between the stem and the hub when the inner tube of a tire is punctured by a sharp object, thereby allowing the motor-driven vehicle to continue to operate.

The tacking members (120,125,120) are preheated to a tacking temperature so that when the frame (40) is clamped onto the carcass (15), and the elongate material or cables (32) are spread, the spread elongate material or cables (32) are tacked to the carcass.

    Abstract: An assembly for home installation replaces a metal-bodied valve in an inner tube with a vulcanized elastomeric valve so that the tube can be safely used for play, such as in a swimming pool. The assembly includes a vulcanized elastomeric cover having a diameter larger than the diameter of the flange of the elastomeric valve, with the cover having a vulcanized bond to the flange of the replacement valve. An annular disk of unvulcanized and vulcanizable material has a central opening fitting around the body of the replacement valve so that the disk underlies the inward facing surface of the valve flange. A nonvulcanizing adhesive temporarily adheres the disk to the flange, and an unvulcanized and vulcanizable material is provided under the cover radially outward from the flange.
