Abstract: A pneumatic tire which makes it possible to effectively prevent puncture during running without involving a large increase in weight or degradation of riding comfortability. This pneumatic tire has a plurality of films disposed in the manner of fish scales in at least a region corresponding to a tread portion of an inner surface of the tire, each of the films being partially fixed on the inner surface of the tire, the fixed portions of the films being covered by the non-fixed portions of the other films.
Abstract: The present invention concerns an improvement in securing a tire stem assembly. Specifically, a rubber packing piece, washer and securing nut-containing rubber packing piece are employed in this assembly, which cause the tire stem to bind tightly to the hub when the inner tube is inflated. The merit is that air cannot escape quickly from the space between the stem and the hub when the inner tube of a tire is punctured by a sharp object, thereby allowing the motor-driven vehicle to continue to operate.
Abstract: A sealant composition particularly suitable for vehicle tires comprising a cured butyl rubber present only in the form of a copolymer having a molecular weight in excess of 100,000 and one or more tackifiers, the tensile strength, elongation and cross-link density of the composition being adjusted to produce the necessary properties for tire sealants.
