    Abstract: Provided is a bonding state inspection method to accurately determine the quality of the bonding state of plate materials that have been ultrasonically bonded. The bonding state inspection method comprises a measuring step in which the rate of energy transfer rate to an anvil is measured each time a vibrating horn is pressed against a plurality of superimposed, plate materials on the anvil and the plate materials are ultrasonically bonded; a calculation step in which a variable threshold is calculated using the energy transfer rate measured each time of the ultrasonic bonding; and a determination step in which the quality of the bonding state of the plate materials is determined based on comparison between the magnitude of the energy transfer rate measured in the measuring step and the variable threshold calculated in the calculation step of the previous ultrasonic bonding.

The matrix has a core layer of semi-crystalline thermoplastic resin and a pair of outer layers of amorphous thermoplastic resin arranged on opposite sides of the core layer. The glass transition temperature of the amorphous thermoplastic resin is below the melting point of the semi-crystalline thermoplastic resin. The autoclave temperature cycle heating rapidly the stack of plies to a working temperature above the transition temperature, but below the melting point, keeping the stack of plies at the working temperature during a time period for compaction alone; and cooling the stack of plies.

The resin film is formed from a curable resin composition containing an epoxy novolac resin, a tri-functional or tetra-functional epoxy resin, ceramic microspheres, a latent amine-based curing agent, particulate inorganic fillers; and a toughening component. Optionally, the resin film further includes conductive additives to increase electrical conductivity of the surfacing material. The resin film exhibits high Tg as well as high resistance to paint stripper solutions. Furthermore, the conductive surfacing material is suitable for co-curing with fiber-reinforced resin composite substrates.

    Abstract: A method for feeding uneven media from a high capacity feeder includes rotating the pages in a stack 180° every 100-250 pages. This is only done with non-flat pages, such as, envelopes, pages with labels thereon, etc., which create tilted stacks and limit the number of pages that can be placed in the high capacity feeder. Rotating the pages 180° distributes the uneven build-up of the pages and creates a relatively flat stack, allowing the high capacity feeder to be filled to capacity. A camera or sensor placed in the high capacity feeder will detect the orientation of the stack on the fly so the image can be rotated accordingly.

A vision system can confirm the quality of label after the post treatment heating.
