  • Patent number: 9656187
Abstract: A fuel deoxygenation system contactor-separator includes a fuel-gas mixture inlet section, a fuel outlet section, a gas outlet, a spiral contactor-separator, and a valve element. The fuel-gas mixture inlet section has a fuel-gas mixture inlet port. The fuel outlet section has a fuel outlet port. The gas outlet section has a gas outlet port. The spiral contactor-separator conduit has an inner wall and an outer wall that defines a spiral contactor-separator flow passage. The spiral contactor-separator conduit is coupled to, and is in fluid communication with, the fuel-gas mixture inlet section, the fuel outlet section, and the gas outlet section. The valve element is disposed between the fuel outlet port and the gas outlet port and is movable between a first position and a second position.

  • Patent number: 9630128
Abstract: Provided is an oil separator that operates in an efficient manner as a whole for collection of oil mist in blowby gas as multiple oil separator units collect the oil mist equally regardless of various particle sizes thereof. The oil separator includes a distribution chamber distributing blowby gas, an introducing hole introducing the blowby gas into the distribution chamber, at least one set of oil separator units disposed in symmetry relative to at least one plane having an axis extending through an axis of the introducing hole of axes of flowing directions of the blowby gas entering the distribution chamber through the introducing hole, and distribution channels causing the blowby gas to flow from the distribution chamber to the respective oil separator units.

  • Patent number: 8726532
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for drying a material or, more generally, flash evaporating a target substance having a vapor pressure threshold. The methods and systems include a conveyor conduit that receives material. The material moves through the conveyor and is expelled into a pressure drop zone created by one or more venturi nozzles. As the material encounters the pressure drop zone, the targeted substance in the material experiences a rapid and extreme pressure drop and simultaneously a rapid temperature increase. This causes the target substance in the material to flash evaporate virtually immediately. The resulting vapor is separated from the remaining material and the now dry material is collected for further processing or use. The vapor can be collected, condensed, exhausted, or otherwise treated depending upon the goals of a particular installation or process.

  • Patent number: 7722739
Abstract: A self-contained evaporation system for use in disposing of excess water from oil and gas drilling operations is provided. The system includes a water holding tank in which the wastewater is preheated, an evaporation chamber mounted over the holding tank and having an open top, a nozzle system located within the chamber for producing a fine liquid mist, and fans disposed within the chamber for producing an air flow that carries the mist out the open top of the chamber. The system can be set up and taken down by one person in an hour or less, can be used with pond or tank operations, and is capable of operating in high winds and sub-zero temperatures. The system can be carried and mounted on a trailer for easy transport to and from various drilling sites.
