Abstract: The convertible cup holder presents a novel solution to a problem experienced by all beverage drinkers—an entire hand is required to hold a beverage container. The convertible cup holder is a convertible, disposable or reusable insulator, holder and cup-carrier that surrounds a beverage container. In its initial condition, the holder provides thermal insulation against the hot or cold temperature of the beverage. The cup holder can be used to improve the grip on the beverage or to make the beverage more comfortable to hold. If a user requires the use of the hand holding the beverage, the user is able to pull handles disposed within the holder into a deployed position, such that the user can now easily grip the beverage by using only one's finger. With handles deployed, the convertible cup holder allows the average beverage to be suspended and held by a single finger, thereby freeing up the majority of one's hand for other tasks.

Abstract: A handle comprises a transparent handle body that includes a cavity, at least one opening, at least one closure that closes the at least one opening, and an attachment member. An object may be inserted through the at least one opening and contained in the handle body. The at least one opening may comprise of one opening, and the handle body may be cylindrical and further include a closed end located opposite the one opening. In one embodiment, the attachment member attaches directly to a storage unit and may include adhesive or a plurality of holes through which screws may be inserted. In another embodiment, the handle of the present invention may further include a receiving member that engages with the handle body's attachment member. The base of the receiving member attaches directly to a storage unit and may include adhesive or a plurality of holes through which screws may be inserted.

Abstract: Improved handles are provided for a wheelchair brake lever and legrest release lever of a wheelchair. Each handle has a first end with a slot for receiving the respective lever, and a second end extending angularly from the first end so as to be nonplanar and noncoaxial with the respective levers. The handles include ribs or textured surfaces for improved tactile feel, and are made of brightly colored material for high visibility. Increased size, feel and visibility of the handles make them easier to locate for a person sitting in the wheelchair.

Abstract: The present invention is a method and device for a hand power tool which includes a housing, a storage compartment within the housing, a wrench for manipulating a collet bit attachment structure, a portion of the wrench sized to fit within the storage compartment, a first spring extending into the storage cavity and positioned to bias the portion of the wrench against an inner wall of the storage compartment and a protuberance positioned on the housing, such that when the portion of the wrench is partially within the cavity, the protuberance causes a first misalignment between the longitudinal axis of the storage compartment and the longitudinal axis of the wrench and when the portion of the wrench is fully within the cavity, the protuberance does not cause a misalignment between the longitudinal axis of the storage compartment and the longitudinal axis of the wrench as large as the first misalignment.

Abstract: A multiple grip handle for dental and other hand-held oral hygiene implements, the handle being adapted to render the implement to which it is applied useable by individuals who have difficulty in firmly grasping a conventional oral hygiene implement handle, difficulty manipulating and stabilizing a handle during oral hygiene, or by individuals who have varying types of preferred grips. The multiple grip handle in the preferred embodiment is fabricated of thermoplastic with an elastomeric coating material having good cushioning, non-slipping, and antimicrobial properties. The handle also has a variable elliptical cross section, a central cavity to socket a brush neck or other equipment, a unique thumb/knuckle grip on the dorsal surface, a plurality of gripping elements on the ventral surface, and an extended distal portion to afford fine control, comfort and stability for whatever gripping style the user prefers.

The elastic strap could be wound around the groove with the turning section engaged with the hook, and is therefore prevented from tangling other articles in a container holding the umbrella that is not in use. Or, the elastic strap may be extended through a closed item with the turning section engaged with the hook to thereby externally hang the umbrella not in use to the closed item.

Abstract: An apparatus for lifting an element of a hinged structure includes an enclosure having one or more springs within the enclosure. A handle attached to one of the springs projects out of an elongated slot in the enclosure to provide easy access to a user. The apparatus may be attached to a surface of a hinged element, such as a toilet seat. When the toilet seat is down, a person may lift the seat by grasping the handle with one or more fingers of one hand and sliding the handle towards them. By providing a lifting motion in conjunction with the pulling action, the person can easily raise the toilet seat without having to touch it or any other part of the toilet seat.

The illuminating device includes a bulb installed near the blade, a battery chamber defined in the housing for containing at least one battery, and a switch used for actuating the bulb. Additionally, a spare blade drawer is provided and slidably contained in a passage defined in the housing. At least one spare blade is stored in the spare blade drawer and therefore is easy to be taken out for use.

Abstract: The present invention provides a closure handle lever comprising a gripping portion rotatably mounted along an axis and a catch lever rotatably mounted along this same axis. The catch lever is rotatable about the axis from a first position to a second position independent of the gripping portion. The first position provides a greater mechanical advantage for the gripping portion than the second position. The gripping portion is engaged to the catch lever such that rotation of the gripping portion about the axis causes rotation of the catch lever about this same axis.

In the handle assembly, a bracket, mounted to the external surface of a cooking pan, is formed by pressing a steel plate to have a horizontal fitting hole and two opposite stoppers. A folding handle is movably assembled with the bracket. This folding handle is formed by specifically and symmetrically bending a steel wire to have two opposite fitting ends, two snap arms and a handle body. The handle is hinged to the opposite ends of the fitting hole of the bracket at its opposite fitting ends, and selectively, elastically caught by the two stoppers of the bracket at its two snap arms, and is gripped by a hand at its handle body. A coil spring is seated within the fitting hole of the bracket at a position between the two fitting ends of the handle, thus normally biasing the two fitting ends of the handle outwardly in opposite directions to allow the snap arms of the handle to be reliably caught by the stoppers of the bracket.
