Abstract: A fastener attaches a wire harness and an end of a floor carpet to a rocker panel of a vehicle and provides support for a rocker molding independently of the rocker panel. The wire harness includes a pair of arcuate arms pivotally mounted on a base of the fastener and having free ends that connect to one another to form a cylindrical wire harness holder that surrounds a wire harness. One of the arcuate arms is latched to the base and assists in retaining an end of the carpet on the base. Spaced rocker molding engagement portions on the base and on the one arcuate arm receive and retain respective legs of the rocker molding.
Abstract: A transition support for flooring material extending between a floor area of a high height and a floor area of a low height, said support being in the shape of a wedge with an attached flat section in the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped, the wedge having a thick end whose thickness is the same as that of the flat section. The transition support is generally unnoticeable by persons walking across it and does not jostle wheeled vehicles crossing the support.
Abstract: An apparatus for securing a piece of fabric, such as carpet or other floor coverings, along a floor area, or for securing fabric along walls, windows or other areas of a room, having a fixed baseboard type portion attached to the baseboard region of the wall nearest the floor over which the carpet is to be laid, and a freely detachable arm, designed to be removable from the fixed member. The fabric to be fastened with the apparatus is extended between the fixed member and the freely detachable member with means between the two sections for holding the fabric in place. In one embodiment of the apparatus, the fixed member is connected to the freely detachable member by means of a ball-and-socket joint.
