The assembly includes a first rotatable body having a first plurality of non-uniformly spaced apart apertures and a second rotatable body having a second plurality of non-uniformly spaced apart apertures. The first and second rotatable bodies may be rotated relative to one another along a common axis of rotation to align a selected one of the first apertures with a selected one of the second apertures. The first rotatable body is non-rotatably coupled to the second rotatable body by a first coupler after the selected first aperture and second aperture have been aligned. A bearing fork assembly is non-rotatably coupled to the second rotatable body for rotation therewith. The second rotatable body may be rotated to orient an upright pivot pin of the bearing fork assembly substantially perpendicular to a support surface.

Abstract: A wheeled center stand for motorcycles. The center stand incorporates a spine rotatably attached to a frame, and at least one leg rigidly attached to the spine. The frame is attached to a motorcycle frame cross-member. At least one wheel is rotatably mounted to an extreme of a leg opposite the spine. The center stand may be extended and retracted conventionally, using a foot lever mounted to one of the legs. The wheels may be swiveling wheels or non-swiveling wheels. In the preferred embodiment, each non-swiveling wheel was mounted at a 20 degree offset relative to a stand centerline. When extended, a motorcycle to which the wheeled center stand is mounted may be rotated relative to a surface upon which it rests, such as a garage floor, with a minimum of effort. Nut plates are also taught which facilitate the mounting of the stand to a motorcycle frame cross-member.

  • Patent number: 7798455
Abstract: A height adjusting device includes an attachment bolt, an adjuster, a female screw portion, and a circular groove. The adjuster includes a flange portion operable from an outside and is fixed to the attachment bolt so as to be rotatable integrally with the attachment bolt. The female screw portion is formed in a piece of furniture. The attachment bolt is screwable into the female screw portion. A circular groove is formed around the female screw portion. The adjuster includes a brake portion protruding from the flange portion in a rotation axis direction of the adjuster. When inserted into the circular groove, the brake portion abuts a wall surface of the circular groove and is at least partially deformed thereby to bias the wall surface, resulting in suppression of rotation of the adjuster.

  • Patent number: 7497449
Abstract: The invention relates to a swivel wheel (10) with suspension (14), comprising a wheel frame (11), a wheel element (12) able to turn about a horizontal wheel axle (13), a suspension (14) and an arm (15). At one end the arm (15) is attached to the wheel frame (11) such that it can pivot about a horizontal arm axis (17) and at the other end it supports the wheel axle (13) some distance away from the arm axis (17). The suspension (14) engages on the arm (15) at an arm engagement point (18) and on the wheel frame (11) at a frame engagement point (19). The arm engagement point (18) and the frame engagement point (19) define a straight suspension axis (20) running through these points. The wheel furthermore has an adjustment mechanism (30) that is equipped for setting the distance (D) from the suspension axis (20) to the arm axis (17) by moving the arm engagement point (18) and/or the frame engagement point (19) along an adjustment track (31).
