Abstract: A closing hinge including a hinge body and a pivot reciprocally coupled to rotate around a first axis; a working chamber defining a second axis perpendicular to the first axis; a cam member unitary rotating with the pivot; a cam follower wheel sliding along the second axis between a position proximal to the rear wall of the working chamber and a distal position thereto; a thrust spring acting on the cam follower wheel. The cam member includes a first abutment element and a second abutment element respectively including a second curved portion and a third curved portion for selectively contacting the cam follower wheel in a respective single tangency point at a first and a second open positions and for contacting the wheel in two tangency points opposite with respect to the second axis at a closed position.
Abstract: An enclosure includes a body portion, a top portion having a lid component configured to rotate with respect to the body portion to provide access to an interior compartment of the enclosure, and a counterweight assembly coupled between the lid component and the body portion. The counterweight assembly is configured such that the force required to rotate the lid component from the enclosure's closed position to its full-open position is substantially constant.
Abstract: An actuator for moving a movable furniture part includes at least one movably mounted actuating member for moving the movable furniture part, a spring device for applying a force to the actuating member, and a setting device by which a force of the spring device that acts on the actuating member can be set. The setting device has a threaded portion and a screw nut mounted adjustably between two end positions, and the force of the spring device acting on the actuating member can be set by adjusting the screw nut along the threaded portion. At least one supporting element is provided which relieves the screw nut in at least one of the two end positions of the force of the spring device.
Abstract: A door handle assembly extends a door handle in parallel from an outer surface of a vehicle door and retracts the door handle until it is flush with the outer surface. The door handle assembly includes a door handle formed from a planar handle member and a handle base member. The planar handle member is coupled to the handle base member and a swing arm coupled to the backside of the handle base member extends and retracts the door handle. A first upper fork is rotably coupled to a backside of the handle base member near the distal portion of a first post portion and a second upper fork is rotably coupled to the backside of the handle base member near the distal portion of a second post portion. The lower dual fork portion of the swing arm pivots about a shaft mounted to an inner door surface.

Abstract: A counterbalance system for a tilt-in window and its method of operation. Posts are provided on the sides of a tilt-in window sash that rotate when the sash is tilted. A brake structure is attached to each post. Each brake structure has a first contoured surface that rotates with the post when said sash is tilted. A second contoured surface is provided within the window track. The second contoured surface moves up and down in the track with the post but does not rotate with the post when the sash is tilted. When the window sash is tilted for cleaning, the first contoured surface moves against the second contoured surface within the window track. A cam action occurs that moves the first contoured surface away from the second contoured surface. This causes the brake structure to be biased against the track and lock in a fixed position within the track.
Abstract: A roof vent, sun roof or like system has a tiltable panel which is hingedly mounted in a frame around a roof opening of an automotive vehicle. The assmebly includes a rectilinear guide along which a slider is displaceable to straighten a bent spring bar connected to the panel and thereby allow the panel to be drawn into sealing closure with the frame.
