Abstract: The present invention discloses a positioning device for hinge structure, comprising a fixed part, a rotatable part, a pivotal axle, at least an elastic part, a nut, and a cam member. The pivotal axle is passed through the first pivotal portion of the fixed part and the second pivotal portion of the rotatable part to render the rotatable part rotating relative to the fixed part and with respect to the pivotal axle. Consequently, through the rotation of the cam member, the contacts of the first and second contact faces with a pivoting portion is alternated and thus the distance between the contact faces and the pivotal portion is changed, rendering the nut pressing against or relaxing from at least one elastic part. The axial frictional force generated between the fixed part and the rotatable part is therefore changed so as to achieve positioning or rotation of the fixed part and the rotatable part.

  • Patent number: 6763551
Abstract: Hinge, particularly for a vehicle flap, having two hinge parts and an axle bolt which, axially inserted into aligned openings in the hinge parts, forms a swivelling axis for the hinge parts. One hinge part is in areas axially arranged either between two legs of the other hinge part or in each case between an axial supporting shoulder of the axle bolt and of the other hinge part. At least two axially adjacent surfaces of the two hinge parts or of one hinge part and of the axle bolt, which are mutually adjusted during the swivelling of at least one hinge part, are sloped in the same direction with respect to an ideal plane perpendicular to the swivelling axis of the axle bolt, whereby, in one angular position, the two hinge parts have an axial distance from one another and, in another angular position, the two hinge parts have no distance from one another or have a smaller axial distance from one another.

  • Patent number: 6484363
Abstract: An adjustable two piece hinge having a first hinge member for attachment to a wall surface and a second hinge member attachable to a door. The device is adjustable by rotating the hinge pin which communicates thorough two off-center cooperating apertures communicating axially through two body bushings located inside the second hinge member. Rotating the hinge pin rotates the circular body bushings inside the second hinge member thereby translating the second hinge member around the center axis of said first hinge member and toward and away from the first hinge member due to the eccentric formed by the off center apertures inside of a circular bushing. The device can optionally be supplied with a kit featuring a plurality of different body bushings having the off center apertures a different distance off center.

  • Patent number: 6470531
Abstract: A hinge for mounting a door on a furniture article frame includes a first hinge member adapted to be affixed to the furniture door and a first hinge arm segment pivoted to the first hinge member and having a first adjustment plate with an aperture and a second hinge member having a second hinge arm segment having a second adjustment plate with an aperture. Turning an adjustment screw connecting the adjustment plates to one another causes the second hinge arm segment to move relative to the first hinge arm segment in a direction perpendicular to the pivot axis and parallel to the door in a closed position thereof. A base plate adapted to be affixed to the furniture article frame by a fastening screw supports a movable plate formed on the second hinge member. Turning an eccentric mounted in the base plate causes the movable plate to be displaced on the base plate in a direction perpendicular to the pivot axis and perpendicular to the door in a closed position thereof.
