Abstract: An improved door pillar assembly for a passenger car coachwork formed as a substantially vertical extruded light metal hollow-section member and having an outer wall to which longitudinally spaced upper and lower hinge lugs are adjustably secured for swivel connection of a vehicle door. The extruded hollow section member includes a pair of inner transverse ridge members which extend along the longitudinal dimension and divide the hollow interior into three transversely spaced cage sections. Each of the outer cage sections further includes a longitudinal channel formed into the inner surface of the common wall to which the hinge lugs are adjustably secured. An upper and lower pair of slots are provided in the outer wall and are aligned with respect to the channels for receiving the mounting hardware (i.e., bolts) for the hinge lugs whereby the hinge lugs can be selectively positioned within the slots prior to tightening to provide a desired height adjustment.

A vertical frame piece provides a vertically extending receiving space accessible via a vertical slit for an anchor with an internal thread. A screw penetrating a hinge part is screwed into this thread. The anchor has a transverse dimension smaller than the width of the slit and a longitudinal dimension greater than the width of the slit. A friction drive member for the anchor is located in the slit and penetrated by the screw.

Abstract: A hinge assembly for adjustably mounting a toilet covering member to the rear of a toilet is disclosed. In one form, a hinge block has a compartment with serrations to adjustably receive a bushing with complementary serrations. A mounting bolt is placed through an opening in the hinge block and the bushing for engagement with a nut to secure the hinge assembly to the toilet. In one embodiment, the hinge block supports opposing hinge brackets for the toilet covering member with the hinge pin trapped by the mounting of one of the brackets. In an especially preferred form, the hinge assembly is employed with a cover and a toilet having matching curved front portions.

The front of the hinge arm is directly or by an intermediate member indirectly engageable into the mounting plate, and the rear of the hinge arm has a tilting lever at which a hook member is formed by which the tilting lever is lockable to the mounting plate. When a door is mounted to the body of an article of furniture, the hinge arm can be engaged into the mounting plate and then fastened thereto simply by applying pressure. Abstract: A hinge for the hanging of a door, especially an inset or recessed glass door, on the carcase of a piece of furniture has a door-related hinge part which is coupled by a linkage mechanism to a wall-related hinge part which can be fastened to a wall of the carcase. The wall-related part in turn is composed of a mounting component that can be fastened to the wall, and of a link holder which is adjustable in a plane at right angles to the hinge pivot axis with respect to the mounting component and can be locked on the latter at selectable positions. The mounting component has a bracket arm projecting from a mounting plate that can be fastened to the wall and has an essentially arcuate mounting surface convexly curved with respect to the wall, on which a complementarily arcuate mounting surface of the link holder can be fastened at selectable relative positions within a particular adjustment range.

Abstract: A folding door having panels pivoted about vertical axes, top and bottom pivot assemblies, the bottom assembly comprising a bracket mountable beneath the door. The bracket defines a track along which a pivot block is guided. A sleeve is mounted in a vertical opening of the door and a pivot pin threaded into the sleeve, which pin is vertically adjustable relative to the door. The block has a vertical opening therein and the pivot pin has a lower end thereof extending therethrough. The pin and block have vertical teeth which are engaged when the pin is moved relatively downward onto said block and are disengaged when the pin is moved relatively upwardly. The pivot block and the bracket have vertically engageable teeth such that when the block is moved downwardly onto the bracket, the teeth are engaged, and when moved upwardly, the teeth are disengaged.

Abstract: An articulated hinge for pivotally connecting a door flap to the carcass of a piece of furniture which has spaced carcass walls and a frame facing the door and extending essentially at right angles to the carcass walls and confining a free door opening, while the door flap in closed position partially overlaps the frame. The hinge has a carcass-related part connected to the edge surface of the frame offset inwardly relative to the adjacent carcass wall, and a door-related part connected to the door flap and pivotally connected to the carcass-related part via a link mechanism. The door-related part is in the form of an insert cup with a connecting part fittingly inserted into a recess in the backside of the door flap, and a link carrier part which has a portion interlocking with the connecting part.

A cap mounting projection extending from the inside of the door, to which projection there is removably fastened a molded cap which bears a tongue extends into the path of a contact surface provided on the supporting arm and is resiliently compressible by this contact surface against a spring force.
