  • Patent number: 11640188
Abstract: A hinge capable of widely expanding includes an arc-shaped guide member, two movable members and two torsion generating members, wherein first guide rails are formed on two sides of the arc-shaped guide member, and a circular displacement track is defined by an arc center of the arc-shaped guide member. Each of the two movable members, respectively positioned on two sides of the arc-shaped guide member, is provided with a working surface contacting one of the first guide rails and an arc-shaped through hole penetrating therethrough. The arc center of the arc-shaped through hole is the same as the arc-shaped guide members'. Each of the two torsion generating members is assembled to the arc-shaped guide member through the arc-shaped through hole to which one of the two movable members belongs. The two movable members are guided by the arc-shaped guide member to move on the circular displacement track.

Abstract: A hinge assembly is mounted in an electronic appliance such as a notebook and has a stationary leaf, a pintle and a pivoting leaf. The notebook has a base and a cover. The stationary leaf is mounted securely on the base and has a pivoting sleeve having an outer edge, a limiting tab and at least one braking detent. The limiting tab and braking detent adjacently protrude longitudinally from the outer edge of the pivoting sleeve. The pintle is mounted rotatably in the stationary leaf and has an outer end and a limiting rod. The limiting rod is mounted securely in the pintle and selectively limits rotation of the hinge in both directions to leave a small gap when the cover folds toward the base to facilitate opening. The pivoting leaf is mounted securely on the outer end of the pintle and connects to the cover securely.

Abstract: A hinge assembly (200) includes a housing (12), a shaft (11), a fixing pin (14), a transposition mechanism (13) and a first spring (16). The housing has a circumferential wall defining a manual slot (121) and an automatic slot (123). Each of the manual slot and the automatic slot runs through a circumferential wall thereof. The shaft defines a pin hole (1141), and the shaft is engaged in the housing. The fixing pin passes through the pin hole of the shaft. One end of the fixing pin is alternatively received in the manual slot or the automatic slot. The transposition mechanism is configured for switching the pin from the manual slot to the automatic slot. The first spring provides an elastic force causing the housing to move relative to the shaft when the pin breaks away from the manual slot.

The rotation-stop mechanism enables the folder to be opened away from the terminal body at various angles, according to the user's need, while smoothly maintaining the opening and closing operation of the folder. The rotation-stop mechanism can stop the rotation of the folder in a state wherein the folder is opened away from the terminal body at an angle of or about 90°, according to the user's need, while allowing the folder to be smoothly opened away from or closed to the terminal body. Further, the folder can be freely opened away from the terminal body at angles of at or about 90° or at or about 150°. Furthermore, in the case of the portable wireless terminal installed with a camera lens, since the folder can be firmly fixed when it is opened away from the terminal body at an angle of or about 90°, the portable wireless terminal is advantageous for stable image capturing and video communications.
