Abstract: A fixation device for limiting a gap between a first construction component and a second construction component relative to which the first construction component is movable has first and second fitting parts attached to the first and second construction components, respectively. The first fitting part has a fixation projection with first end and opposed second end. The first end is pivotable about a fixation axis fixed at the first construction component. The fixation projection is pretensioned so as to pivot the second end away from the first construction component. The second fitting part has a guiding surface and a holding element. Fixation projection and guiding surface interact such that, when the construction parts are moved toward each other, the second end glides along the guiding surface toward the holding element and catches therein. A folding device of construction components is provided with such fixation devices.

Abstract: A door handle pull securable to a surface of a door hinged on one edge thereof, for preventing the securing of lockable items thereto, the door handle pull. The door handle pull comprises a flat door handle grip extending from the door at an acute angle with respect to the door surface and in a direction away from the door surface, the door handle grip having a width tapering from a wider width adjacent the door to a narrower width near a distal end with an edge on the hinge side of the door extending at an acute angle to vertical. The tapered width of the grip and acute angle of the grip edge resists attachment of a locking device to the grip and urges a locking device downward off of the grips as the door is opened and the locking device is tightened.

Abstract: A scratch prevention device for a door and a door frame comprising a primary panel and a knob opening located near the top of the primary panel, the knob opening comprising a primary aperture with an outer perimeter, a slot extending away from the outer perimeter of the primary aperture, an edge which runs along the outer perimeter of both the primary aperture and the slot and a seat located on a topmost portion of the edge of the knob opening, wherein the slot, in combination with the primary aperture, permit a door knob to be inserted through the knob opening, and placing the seat on the door knob to secure the scratch prevention device to the knob and wherein the primary panel covers a substantial portion of the door and extends laterally to cover a substantial portion of the door frame located on the knob side of the door.

Abstract: Provided is a multilayer kick plate, comprising a thin strip, a supporting strip, and a bonding film. The thin strip has a front surface and a back surface, and the front surface of the thin strip is polished by abrasive paper ranging from #800 to #890. The supporting strip has a bonding surface. The bonding film is mounted between the back surface of the thin strip and the bonding surface of the supporting strip. With said supporting strip and bonding film, the thin strip can be designed to be much thinner than the conventional thin strip, such that the production cost of the multilayer kick plate is reduced.

Abstract: Connection means for the mounting of lock details arranged to connect a first element with a second element, which two elements surround a third element, which connection means comprises a first screw means, which is provided with a threaded part to co-operate with a corresponding threaded part in a second screw means to provide an interconnection of the first element and the second element. The connection means comprises an intermediate part, which, in its first end, is provided with a first thread, which is arranged to co-operate with the first screw means for the connection to said first element, and which intermediate part, by its second end, is connected to the second element, the intermediate part in addition being provided with a third thread orientated perpendicular to said first thread, the third element being mounted to the third thread of the intermediate part by an element fixation means.

Abstract: The invention provides a reinforcement for a door hingedly connected to a surrounding door frame mounted in a wall structure not normally made of 2×4 wall studs; said structures being smaller in thickness end depth such as in doors with sidelight glass. A male pin member, positioned within a recess drilled into either or both a hinge side and knob side of a door edge, extends laterally past the door edge surface. A receiving member mounted within a corresponding recess drilled within a door jamb includes a pin receiving portion and a reduced diameter reinforcing portion. The reduced diameter portion is tubular in shape to accept a threaded fastener entering through the receiving portion to secure the receiving member in position. The tubular reinforcing portion is of such length to enter the wall structure hot not break through an adjacent glass or panel.

Abstract: A deadbolt lock cover is removably attachable to an anchor plate. While a door is opened, the deadbolt lock cover may be removably engaged with the anchor plate by means of bolts and hooks. When the cover has been engaged with the anchor plate and the door is closed, the interior portion of the deadbolt lock, having the manually operable knob, is inaccessible, being completely covered by the deadbolt lock cover. Thus, the deadbolt lock may only be unlocked by using a key on the outside tumbler of the lock. The cover may include a frame for supporting the bolts and may be of a variety of different geometries.

Abstract: A pair of transition escutcheons are provided to unobtrusively cover old mounting holes and provide a method of actually locating the placement of new mounting hole for cabinetry hardware. Each transition escutcheon is comprised of a generally flat body, having a projection extending from a bottom, a platform separated from a border by an annular indention, and a hole passing through the escutcheon located a set distance from the projection. The escutcheons are inserted into the old mounting holes and rotated until the holes are horizontally agreed. New mounting holes are drilled or locations further marked through the holes in the escutcheons. Once the new holes are drilled, the new hardware is mounted on the escutcheons with the and covering the old mounting holes.

Abstract: A rectangular partial door cover, specifically design to cover the doorknob, surface locks, deadbolt locks, and chain locks of an entrance door to an apartment or house. The base of the rectangular device is attached to the entrance door with a set of screws. The device has four sides, and a sliding door with a knob. The door slides open when the knob is pulled back, and it closes when the knob is pushed forward.

Abstract: Escutcheons for a temperature-controlled food holding cabinet are removable and field replaceable by the use of interlocking keys and keyholes that hold the escutcheon in place and align the escutcheon to electrical connectors. The escutcheons are provided with illuminated user interfaces. A key formed on either the escutcheon or chassis of the cabinet, engages a corresponding keyhole formed on either the cabinet chassis or the escutcheon.

Abstract: An escutcheon assembly for a door having two escutcheon members which may be applied to opposite sides of the door and can be attached to each other by at least one attachment system. The attachment system includes at least one first attachment member and at least one second attachment member, wherein the at least one first attachment member is located on the back of one of the escutcheon members and the at least one second attachment member is located on the back of the other escutcheon member, and wherein the at least one first attachment member can be firmly attached to the at least one second attachment member. The at least one second attachment member features an accommodating element into which the at least one first attachment member can be inserted. The accommodating element is reversibly deformable such that through the insertion of the at least one first attachment member, the at least one first attachment member can be firmly anchored in the accommodation element.

The apparatus comprises a guard member having each of a predetermined shape, a predetermined thickness and a predetermined color and formed of a predetermined material. The guard member is for engagement with one of such predetermined area around such door handle of such vehicle and such keyhole. An adhesive is disposed on an underside of the guard member for affixing the guard member to one of such predetermined area around such door handle of such vehicle and to such keyhole. A backing member is engageable with the adhesive disposed on the guard member for preventing the adhesive from sticking to other objects until ready for use.

Abstract: A shoe has a sole, an upper and a counter portion. The upper is securely connected to the sole and has a rear end defined with an opening. The counter portion is pivotally connected to a rear end of the sole to close the opening in the upper. A fastener is mounted on the upper and the pivotal counter portion to connect the pivotal counter portion to the rear end of the upper. Accordingly, a wearer's foot in the shoe can be vented. Also, for a pair of tied shoes with the pivotal counter portions can be put on or taken off without tying or untying the laces. The use of the shoe becomes more versatile and more convenient.

Abstract: A lock for overlapping parallel sliding members has a hinge member having two leaves. The two leaves include a fixed leaf permanently secured to one of overlapping sliding members, and a pivotal leaf pivotally moveable between locked and unlocked positions, to permit sliding of said overlapping members in the unlocked position, and, when turned an about 90 degree angle to the locked position, to abut the face of one of said overlapping members to prevent displacement there between. A resistance mechanism is provided for lightly-resisting pivoting of said pivotal leaf against displacement or rotation in the locked position, said resistance mechanism being indestructible in normal operation without pre-manipulation of any portion of the lock prior to pivoting movement.

Abstract: A hinge giving a neat look to a mounting area of a door is not exposed to an outer surface of the door. The hinge has a hinge spindle unit, buried flush with top and bottom lines on a fixed end of the door and disposed so as to allow protrusion and retraction of a spindle, and a hinge body unit, buried at a position facing the hinge spindle unit of the open frame and in which is inserted the protruding spindle, supporting the door to allow it to open and close.
