Abstract: A protective wrap system protects the handles of a purse or other bag and provides a gripping surface to resist tendency of the purse to slip when supported by the handles. The system includes a wrap configured to wrap around a purse handle and a grip that couples to the wrap and is positioned outside the wrap on the underside of the handle. The system provides protection to the handles from contact with a user's hand or other surface. The system further provides a gripping surface configured to grip a contoured surface without damaging or leaving residue on the surface.

Abstract: The inventive subject matter provides apparatus, systems and methods for a low-cost, disposable protective cover for handles and other objects. The disposable cover can include a flexible tube having first and second ends, an inner surface and an outer surface. One or more layers of the tube will preferably include corrugations, ridges, bumps or other non-smooth surface such that air spaces are formed between the handle and the inner surface, or the inner surface and the outer surface.

Abstract: A rail cover assembly includes first and second cover portions with surface regions made from an antimicrobial material. The first cover portion has opposing and longitudinally-extending L-shaped lips with at least one pair of first slots defined at opposing locations along the lips. The second cover portion has opposing longitudinal edges for nesting with the first cover portion's lips, and has at least one pair of second slots defined at opposing locations along the edges in alignment with a corresponding pair of the first slots. A joiner is partially engaged in each of the first slots and partially engaged in a correspondingly aligned one of the second slots. Each joiner includes a first spring-loaded portion engaging the first cover portion and a second spring-loaded portion engaging the second cover portion.

The handle assembly includes at least one wire handle coupled with the container, and a pair of handle halves. Each handle half includes a pair of ends and a pair of partial openings respectively positioned at the ends. Each partial opening of one handle half is adjacent a respective partial opening of the other handle half. The adjacent partial openings conjunctively receive a portion of the at least one wire handle therein. The handle halves surround a portion of the at least one wire handle and are snap fitted together.

Abstract: A handle for an electronic instrument housing includes an elongated grip portion. The grip portion includes two elongated elements each having opposed ends. The elements are connected to each other to form an elongated chamber. An elastomeric layer encompasses an intermediate portion of the grip portion, and the grip portion has a vent aperture communicating with the chamber. The vent aperture may be beyond the elastomeric layer, at one or both ends. One of the elongated elements may form a channel with tapered edge surfaces receiving the other element, so that pressure of elastomeric molding tends to wedge the parts together to form a seal against incursion of the elastomer.

Abstract: A bag handle is disclosed that includes a rigid, elongated body having an upwardly facing top surface, a downwardly facing lower surface, opposing front and back surfaces, and a pair of opposing side surfaces. A pair of hooks extend at each side surface outwardly therefrom proximate the lower surface of the body and generally parallel to each side surface. Preferably each hook extends above the top surface and terminates in a radiused point. A pair of biased locking means each comprise a biasing means, such as a coiled metal spring, and a hook engagement member, such as a glass marble. The hook engagement member protrudes from one side surface and is urged to contact one of the hooks by the biasing means. A method of use is disclosed for selectively engaging and disengaging a plurality of plastic grocery bags with the hooks and the hook engagement means.

One or more spring biased latches are disposed in the tubes, a bar is slidably received in the housing and coupled to the spring biased latches with links for selectively actuating the spring biased latches to lock the conduits and the tubes. A pin is slidably received in the shaft. A knob is slidably received in the hand grip for selectively actuating the pin.

The body portion has a length and width sufficient to substantially cover a luggage handle. Abstract: A removable grip for a five-gallon bucket that includes a prying tool for removing a lid of the bucket. The grip includes an elongated body in which a channel is formed. The channel includes a centrally disposed widened portion that is configured to accept an existing grip formed on a bail of the bucket handle. The channel also includes narrow portions at each end of the widened portion that accept the bail. Flexible tabs within each narrow portion lock the grip onto the bail. The prying tool includes a flat end and a hooked end. The flat end can be used to pry open the lid of a paint bucket and can be a screwdriver end. The hooked end can be used to pry up the tangs of the lid of the five-gallon bucket to remove the lid.

Abstract: An adaptable luggage cart or suitcase handle that is configured to accommodate an assortment of positions is presented. The adaptable handle includes secondary grip extensions that exist within the contours of a traditionally-shaped luggage cart handle and are capable of attaining a more comfortable, extended grasping position than a traditional handle. The extended position of the convertible handle allows the user to switch from a palms-down or a palms-up grasping position to a palms-inward position that emulates the grip a snow skier makes on a ski pole. Furthermore, once in the extended position, the handle of the present invention can be configured in a wide assortment of extension angles to increase the comfort to the user.

Abstract: A handle has a body which is formed of two shell members such that the body is provided therein with a receiving space, and in the surface of a grip portion thereof with two slits opposite to each other and extending along the direction of the longitudinal axis of the grip portion. The grip portion is covered by a covering which has two side edges corresponding in direction to the longitudinal axis of the grip portion. The two side edges of the covering are concealed in the receiving space via the slits such that the two side edges form a tubular structure, and that the two side edges are retained in place by a retaining rod located in the receiving space of the body of the handle.

Abstract: A handle structure of a suitcase includes an inverted U-shaped body and an attachment attached to the inside of the body. The body has a ridge extending from the inside thereof and a plurality of protrusions extending from the top and the bottom of the ridge. Two engaging members extend from the inside of the body and are located on two ends of the ridge. The attachment has a groove defined in the inside thereof and a plurality of recesses defined in the inner top and the inner bottom of the groove so that the ridge is received in the groove with the protrusions engaged with the recesses. The two engaging members are engaged with two apertures defined in the inside of the attachment.

Abstract: A handle assembly comprises two handle pieces. Each handle piece comprises a left section having left and right ends and inside and outside faces, a right section having left and right ends and inside and outside faces, and a center section containing a notch. The center section connects the right end of the left section to the left end of the right section in a generally diagonal manner. The handle pieces are capable of interlocking such that the center section of each handle piece fits into the notch of the other handle piece, the inside face of the left section of one handle piece is situated against the inside face of the left section of the other handle piece, and the inside face of the right section of one handle piece is situated against the inside face of the right section of the other handle piece. The handle assembly can be incorporated into a bag comprising two handle straps, each handle strap being associated with a different handle piece.

Abstract: A portable cooler chest is disclosed having a collapsible storage bin for nonperishable items and wheels specially adapted for rolling on sand or soft soils. The collapsible storage bin includes foldable side panels and may be integrated with or separable from the lid of the chest. A cover is provided to cover the erected storage bin, or to enclose the collapsed storage bin between the cover and the lid. Pivotable rolling surface segments are hinged to the wheels such that the segments may be pivoted outwardly to augment the width of the rolling surfaces. The wheels are rotatably connected to the lower extent of the enclosure by pivoting spindles. The wheels may be pivoted under the bottom of the enclosure to prevent rolling of the chest and to place the wheels out of the way. Stowable retainer disks maintain the segments in the outwardly pivoted position. The wheels may be removed from the chest.
