Abstract: An ergonomic brace attachment for a pneumatic inline power tool. The attachment is designed to reduce the forces transmitted from the power tool to the operator. The device attaches non-destructively to a wide variety of inline power tools using the threaded air inlet port of the tool. A padded lever arm allows the operator to easily receive torque forces and the semi-u shape enables axial force to be applied to the tool with the large muscles of the arm, while providing for minimal restriction and ease of use. The lever arm is made from lightweight, strong material and is height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of tools and operator anatomies.

Abstract: A supplemental handle for a hand-held machining tool (18), has at least one grip element (10, 12, 14, 16) that is connectable with a housing (26) of the hand-held machine (18) by means of an insulating device (20, 22, 24) for insulating oscillations. The insulating device (20, 22, 24) includes at least one bearing unit (28, 30, 32, 34), and the grip element (10, 12, 14, 16) is guided in at least one direction by means of the bearing unit (28, 30, 32, 34). The bearing unit (28) has at least one bearing bolt (26), about which the grip element (10, 12) is pivotable. The insulating device may include at least one torsion spring.

Abstract: A cleaning tool having a clamp-on handle assembly. The clamp-on handle assembly includes a slidable locking element which can be moved from an open position, wherein the handle assembly can be placed over a handle portion of the cleaning tool, to a locked position wherein the locking element clamps the handle assembly securely onto the handle portion of the cleaning tool. Advantageously, no external tools or fastening implements are required to secure the handle assembly to the handle portion of the cleaning tool. The handling assembly allows the user to use the cleaning tool to reach elevated areas or other areas that would be difficult to reach with the user holding directly onto the handle portion of the cleaning tool.

Abstract: A shovel for snow, dirt or other product comprises a main shovel handle having a main hand grip and a main pole which is attached to a blade; and an auxiliary handle having an auxiliary hand grip and an auxiliary pole. According to one aspect, the auxiliary pole has a threaded end which is received in a threaded bore in the main pole. The auxiliary pole can be easily attached and detached from the main pole. Adhesive can also be used. According to further aspects, a separate connecting device connects the auxiliary pole to the main pole. In one further aspect, the connecting device has a first branch threadably attached to the main pole, a second branch threadably attached to the auxiliary pole, and a third branch threadably attached to the blade. The connecting device could also be formed as a cuff or sleeve and entirely surround the main pole and be attached thereto such as with a screw, or could be formed in a semicircular cuff and be attached to the main pole such as with bands or clamps.

Abstract: A hand guided electrical tool is formed of a housing (1) and a guide part (2) for mounting a drive shaft (3) in addition to a handle (6a) and further an auxiliary handle (5) that can be secured by a locking ring (4) for precise guidance. To assure simple adjustment by the user, the locking ring (4) runs in the axial direction of the drive shaft (3). Furthermore, the auxiliary handle (5) is designed spade-shaped and pivotable around an axis of rotation parallel to the drive shaft (3) and can be secured or locked in different positions. The inside diameter of the locking ring (4) can be changed by means of an actuator element (8).

Abstract: An assist handle for electric tools includes a handle having a connection member on an end thereof and a clamp member is pivotably connected to the connection member. The clamp member has a hole for clamping the tool therein and a trigger is pivotably connected to the clamp member. The trigger has a tongue which is removably engaged with a notch in the connection member. A passage is defined in communication between the hole of the clamp member and a space between the two extensions. A locking member is received in the passage and a top end of the connection member urges against the locking member toward the tool in hole. The tongue is removed from the notch by pivoting the trigger and the handle is rotated laterally to release the pressure on the locking member so that the clamp member can be conveniently rotated an angle.

Abstract: A new handle attachment for attaching to a screed to aid in the leveling of freshly laid concrete. The inventive device includes an elongate shaft with a handle portion extended from one end of the shaft and a pair of arms extending from another end of the shaft. Each of the arms has a slot therein which are designed for receiving an item, such as a screed therein.

Abstract: Disclosed is a device for use with a conventional automobile hand polisher for use in polishing of floors. The device includes a detachable handle having a storage bin and an actuation leaver. The handle provides control of a high speed polisher in a stand-up position, the storage bin provides an area for the placement of weight and for storing of all items upon when not in use. By use of the disclosed handle, a high speed lightweight orbital polisher can be employed for providing a high gloss finish to most floor surfaces.

Abstract: An auxiliary handle attachable to a tool having an elongated handle is disclosed. The auxiliary handle has a shaft with a gripping yoke at one end for manual gripping. At the opposite end of the shaft a contact surface is positioned which interfaces with the tool handle in abutting relationship. A clamp is positioned facing the contact surface for clamping the contact surface against the tool handle. The contact surface is angularly disposed so as to permit the auxiliary handle to be angularly oriented with respect to the tool handle. The contact surface is divided into two contact faces which engage the tool handle in spaced relation to each other. The clamp has a clamping piece with a contact region also divided into spaced apart contact surfaces for engaging the tool handle. The clamping piece is bolted to the shaft. A cross bolt and clips hold the attachment bolts to the sides of the shaft.

The door latch opening system includes an engaging member have a broad engaging area, a receiver member attached to the rear portion of the engaging member, and a coupler member attached within the receiver member. The coupler member has a coupler slot that snugly fits about the door latch handle effectively securing the engaging member to the door latch handle.

The grab handle hinge (60) supports the grab handle (40) for pivotal movement relative to the vehicle portion (8) between a grab handle stored position adjacent the vehicle portion (8) and a grab handle operative position spaced apart from the vehicle portion (8). A cap (70) blocks visibility of part of the grab handle hinge (60) from the vehicle occupant compartment when the grab handle (40) is in the grab handle stored position. A cap hinge (90) supports the cap (70) for pivotal movement between a cap stored position covering the part of the grab handle hinge (60) and a cap operative position spaced apart from the vehicle portion (8) and from the grab handle hinge (60). The cap (70) has a portion (74) adapted to support a garment when the cap (70) is in the cap operative position.

The first holding member has an operating pole insertion hole for insertion of the operating pole therethrough, an oblique groove, and a handle receiving groove for receiving the base of the handle. The second holding member has a wedge and a handle retaining groove. The wedge is fitted into the groove of the first holding member to fix the first holding member to the operating pole. The handle is interposed and held between the handle receiving groove of the first holding member and the handle retaining groove of the second holding member to be fixed to the first holding member.

Abstract: Various assist devices that provide support for entering and exiting a vehicle through a vehicle doorframe of the type having a striker mounted thereto are disclosed. The assist devices include a retainer adapted to removably engage the striker and a support member pivotably mounted to the retainer such that the support member will apply a clamping force to the striker when the support member supports at least a portion of a user's weight. Methods of providing support for entering and exiting a vehicle through a vehicle doorframe having a striker mounted thereto are also disclosed. The methods include placing at least a portion of a retainer between the doorframe and the striker, and rotating a support member, that is pivotably attached to the retainer, relative to the retainer until the support member engages the striker to thereby clamp the striker when the user's weight is supported by the support member.

Abstract: A grass trimmer adjustable handle has a two piece clamp with four bolts and four nuts for mounting and fastening to a grass trimmer main power shaft, and a rod end bearing with a threaded rod and a lock nut. The main handle has threads that match the threaded rod end bearing so that the handle can be adjusted in length to the desired height and reach, limited by the rod threads. The handle can be rotated on its axis and locked into position with the locking nut to fit the angle of the hand of the user, and tilts side to side for a better angle control of the trimmer in relation to the surface of the ground. The handle can move forward and backward in alignment with the main power shaft for better control of the height of the cutting head of the trimmer in relation to the surface of the ground.

The assist device includes a retainer adapted which removably engages the striker. A support member mounted to the retainer supports at least a portion of a user's weight.

Abstract: The invention relates to a connector for connecting an extension handle with a painting tool. The connector comprises a locking means in the form of at least one shoulder (1) on the connector engaging a hole in the tool handle. The shoulder (1) is connected to a knob (2) via a tongue (3) which is integral with the connector and the knob (2) is placed such that it is located outside the tool handle. The front part of the connector may be split into two halves by a slit (4). The connector holds the tool firmly during the painting work. Also, it is easy to disconnect the tool from the connector. The tool may be e.g. a painter's roll or brush.

Abstract: The wheelbarrow handle adapter has an adapter handle with a proximal end and a distal end with an approximate right angle bend therebetween. The adapter handle at the proximal end is attachable to a wheelbarrow handle. In one configuration a sleeve is inserted onto the end of the wheelbarrow handle and a handle bolt is inserted through the adapter handle intermediate the distal end and the proximal end to threadably engage the sleeve. In an alternate configuration the adapter handle having a tubular opening at the distal end is curved sufficiently at the distal end to insert the tubular opening onto the end of the wheelbarrow handle.

The detachable hand bar is capable of adjusting its angle and location along a handle according to the standing position of the young child such that the young child is able to fitly hold the hand bar in the standing position.

Once the rider has control of the bicycle, the clamping member is released from the mounting bar by the non-rider by moving the clamper member to a second release position.

Abstract: A pivoting auxiliary handle for a shovel or other hand tool having an elongated primary handle. The range of motion of the auxiliary handle about the axis of the elongated primary handle is limited. A user holds the primary handle in one hand and the auxiliary handle in the other hand. This reduces back strain, makes it easier to pick up, carry, and dispose of heavy loads, and allows the exertion of downward force by both hands (and also possibly a foot) on the tool. In the preferred embodiment, the elongated primary handle is generally cylindrical, and the auxiliary handle is attached to a circular collar that is seated within a recess in the shaft of the primary handle. The means for limiting the movement of the auxiliary handle is a pin extending outwardly from the recess in the shaft through a recess in the collar. The opposite ends of the recess in the collar limit the movement of the pin, and thereby limit the movement of the auxiliary handle.

The assembly includes a cylindrical sleeve with an external thread, the sleeve being received over the end of the primary handle before its operating member is attached thereto. An auxiliary handle is connected to the sleeve by an attachment nut which has a single turn thread which engages the external thread of the sleeve. The sleeve and primary handle turn freely relative to the attachment nut to permit dumping of the load carried by operating member. The load application point of the auxiliary handle can be moved up and down the primary handle by relative rotation between the attachment nut and the sleeve to optimize the lifting capabilities of the modified tool for a particular user.
