Abstract: A three piece fastener is provided for attaching two layers, e.g. a floor mat for a vehicle to a floor carpet which may then stabilize the mat relative to the carpeting. The three components may connect together through a combination of mechanical connections to provide a relatively simple and cost effective solution to floor mat retention.

Abstract: A tool and method for removing a film from a surface is provided, wherein the tool can include a frame, a handle operably coupled to the frame, a number of wheels operably coupled to the frame, a cylinder rotatably coupled to the frame, an arm rotatably coupled to the frame, and a number of separating devices operably coupled to the arm. In some embodiments, the wheels can rotate about one or more axes parallel to the surface. The cylinder, which collects the removed film, rotates about an axis that can also be parallel to the surface. The arm can rotate about an axis that can also be parallel to the surface.

Abstract: Provided is a clip for fixing a mat on a carpet of a vehicle, the clip including: a lower plate disposed on a bottom surface of the carpet, and includes an insert groove on a front portion; an upper plate disposed on a top surface of the carpet, includes a hook coupled to the inserted groove in the front portion, and includes a projection at a top to which the mat is inserted; a pillar penetrating through a hole of the carpet, and connects a rear portion of the lower plate and a rear portion of the upper plate in upward and downward; a first hook formed on a bottom surface of the rear portion of the upper plate corresponding to an inner side of a front portion of the pillar; and a second hook formed on a top surface of the rear portion of the lower plate corresponding to the inner side of the front portion of the pillar, and hooked to the first hook through the hole, when the lower plate moves upward toward the upper plate based on the pillar.

Abstract: An apparatus for aiding in the installation of carpet is provided. The apparatus can have a planar member with a cleat mat disposed on a bottom surface thereof, the cleat mat having a plurality of cleats extending therefrom. In some embodiments, the cleats can extend from the cleat mat at an angle. The apparatus can be configured to hold two pieces of carpet in place when being seamed together. The apparatus can also be configured to support or confine a tube of a dead-man carpet stretching tool. The apparatus can also be configured as an anchor for a dead-man carpet stretching tool.

Abstract: An installation for fighting fire in a space which includes a spray head (1a', 2a') of such a type that it is capable of producing extinguishing medium in the form of a finely divided liquid mist with a great penetrating ability and a simultaneous suction near the spray head. To obtain an installation which as regards its construction is simple and with which a fire in a space can be very efficiently extinguished so that the fumes are purified at the same time as the amount of water can be very small, the spray head (1a', 2a", 1b', 2b') is arranged in a pipe (3a', 3b') with a suction opening (67a', 67b') at a distance of 1 to 10 m from the floor level (24) of the room and a spray opening (45a', 45') near the floor level, whereby the spray head is arranged to spray in the direction from the suction opening to the spray opening to create a suction in the suction opening.

Abstract: A process for joining together the edges of two floor coverings, in which one web is positioned under the margin of one of the coverings and a corresponding wing is positioned over the margin of the covering, after which the wing is advanced towards the web so as to grip the margin of the covering between them, and the web is also advanced towards the wing, so as to grip the margin better.
