  • Patent number: 9702186
Abstract: A stacking panel covering for an architectural opening includes a headrail and a plurality of suspended from the headrail. The panels form an overlapped stack at one end of the headrail when the stacking panel covering is opened, and cover the architectural opening when the stacking panel covering is closed. The panels are piggybacked on those adjacent thereto, so that they stack, one behind the next, when the stacking panel covering is opened, and so that each pulls the next adjacent thereto as the stacking panel covering is being closed. The panels themselves may be planar, or convexly curved in a horizontal direction and substantially straight in a vertical direction.

Abstract: Example trolleys and hangers for washdown curtains are disclosed herein. An example trolley disclosed herein includes features that simplify manufacturing and promote liquid runoff to avoid bacterial growth. Some example trolleys comprise U-bolts, shoulder screws and acorn nuts. In some examples, a frame of the trolley has a nestable V-shape profile that makes the frame readily blanked and formed from sheet metal with minimal waste. In some examples, an example trolley disclosed herein has a pair of rollers that are horizontally offset to a point from which the curtain hangs so that the weight of the curtain tilts the trolley to promote liquid runoff from the trolley's frame.

  • Patent number: 8533910
Abstract: The present application discloses means for vertically mounting curtains for easy traverse utilizing an easily mountable bendable track for providing an adjustable path for traverse and flexible carriers which are readily affixable to the bendable track at any point in its length and traverse the bendable track under the load of a supported curtain with a minimum of noise. It discloses a bendable track with both a top and a bottom rib, each of which has a horizontal ledge and a curved profile extending from each ledge away from the main body of the rail and a roller free carrier which can be elastically expanded to snap over the lower horizontal ledge of the track. It further discloses that the surface of the horizontal ledge as well as the ends of the carrier are made of materials having a low coefficient of sliding friction such as exhibited by ABS, nylon, PVC and polyacetal and that the ends of the carrier have a surface with an arcuate surface which is adapted to ride on the lower horizontal ledge.

  • Patent number: 8505163
Abstract: The hook device contains a base, at least a first wheel, a second wheel, a third wheel, and at least an elastic hook element. The base has a first wall and, extending respectively from two lateral edges of the first wall, a second wall and a third wall. The wheels are positioned on the walls, respectively. Along the edge between the first and second walls, an extension piece with a curved outer edge is extended for the configuration of the elastic hook element. The wheels are embedded in a first, second, and third grooves of a column, respectively. The base's three wheels, together with the corresponding configurations of separate grooves, enable the base to be reliably mounted on and moved along the column. The elastic hook element, with its elastic and buffering mechanism, provides multi-stage buffering and thereby is capable of withstanding a significant degree of wind impact.

  • Patent number: 7788769
Abstract: A drapery carrier comprising a carrier body with first and second coaxially joined wheels on opposite sides of the carrier body, and bearings entrapped within the drapery carrier between raceway seat portions of the wheels. An axial finger extends from the first wheel and is engagingly held within an axial bore of the second wheel. Respective outer circumferential wheel surfaces of the first and second wheels define first and second wheel outer diameters of the first and second wheels, and the bearing center-to-center orbit diameter is less than the first and second wheel outer diameters. Three embodiments of a carrier strip hold a plurality of the drapery carriers prior to and during insertion within a drapery track, and permit easy insertion of the drapery carriers into the track by sliding the track onto the drapery carriers while they are held by the carrier strip.

  • Patent number: 7010830
Abstract: The invention pertains to the repair of the sliding mechanism of horizontally or laterally sliding glass doors/windows, including shower doors, that are permanently built into a residential or commercial building. Instead of the door/window riding on a metal track using a roller mechanism on a metal rail during the opening and closing process, the door/window rides on strips of either the same or different types of plastic, such as a high density polyethylene plastic, for the same process. Basically plastic is adhered to the current tracking system of the door/window and additional plastic is adhered so a portion of the plastic is under the actual door/window. The door/window slides across the door/window track using the plastic as the main sliding mechanism instead of the rail and roller mechanisms as currently supplied by most door/window manufacturers.
