Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for segmenting spaces. The system may provide an aluminum extrusion system for supporting rigid and flexible panels. The aluminum extrusion system may comprise a custom designed aluminum extrusion that may mount flexible or rigid substrates with interlocking bases and connectors. The system is constructed and arranged to be capable of temporary and permanent installation, and is structurally sound, and safe. The system is design to be capable of effectively blending with the existing décor. The aluminum extrusion system provides a method for segmenting space to maximize the functional space which may be utilized, in a way that is attractive, functional, temporary or permanent, and portable.

Abstract: Improved corners for overhead frames having primary and secondary fasteners that are located within the distal rectangular periphery of alpha oriented overhead frame components so that the width of bundled overhead frames is reduced; protrusions leading to snagging are eliminated; obstructions to the preferred, industry-wide, disassembled frame orientation are precluded; and frame components may be rigidly bundled into the alpha orientation without the wasteful and time-consuming use of temporary materials.

Abstract: A gaming system having gaming machines or devices configurable in a ‘z’-shaped geometric arrangement are provided. The gaming system can include a plurality of gaming machines having a respective main display screen and a plurality of secondary display screens. Each of the plurality of gaming machines can be spaced apart from one another in a first direction with the respective main display of each of the plurality of gaming machines being parallel to each other. Each of the plurality of secondary screens can be coupled between the respective main display screen of respective ones of the plurality of gaming machines to fill a gap therebetween and are positioned at an angle with respect to the respective main display screen of the respective ones of the plurality of gaming machines.

Abstract: A digital pricing display includes a digital display unit having in interoperable communication a central processing unit, a display screen, a memory, a communication module having an antenna associated therewith, and an instruction set hosted on the memory and executable by the central processing unit, the instruction set operational to receive pricing and product information for a product and to display the product pricing and product information on the display screen. An elongate strip is attached to and extends downwardly from the digital display unit. The elongate strip has a plurality of hooks substantially in vertical alignment formed therealong; the purpose of each hook is for receiving thereon a product package corresponding to the product pricing and product information displayed by the digital display unit.

Abstract: A protective barrier device adapted for placement within a structure with a particular use adjacent to a vehicle. The device includes a pair of base members comprised of a hollow housing having a cavity for the addition of a weighted material. The device including a top rail and a bottom rail assembled from sections and coupled to the base members to define a perimeter of the device. A central portion generally comprising a panel is shaped for receipt within the perimeter and coupled to the rails in a cohesive assembly. The device is configured for assembly from a collapsed to an extended position for easily transport and shipping.

Abstract: Display panel frames configured and dimensioned to support display panels and also attach to adjacent display panel frames in a modular fashion to form a larger display assembly. In some examples, the display panel frames include one or more structural members configured to support a load on the frame, wherein the structural members also have at least one display panel mount for attaching a display panel to the frame. In some examples, the frames are configured to support display panels having mounting interface points conforming with a Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) interface standard.

Abstract: In accordance with the subject invention, an infant safety barrier is provided which includes: a first mounting body; a second mounting body; a first stanchion pivotably mounted to the first mounting body so as to be reversibly pivotable between upright and non-upright positions; a second stanchion pivotably mounted to the second mounting body so as to be reversibly pivotable between upright and non-upright positions; and, an elongated flexible barrier a first end secured to the first stanchion and a second end secured to the second stanchion, wherein, with the first and second stanchions being in the upright positions, the flexible barrier is relatively taut between the first and second stanchions. Advantageously, with the subject invention, an infant safety barrier is provided which can be reversibly adjusted between an upright safety position, to restrict an infant's fall from an elevated location, and a non-upright position, allowing access to the infant.

The end panels are further movable to a position wherein they can be disengaged from the extension panels and the extension panels can be removed from the central panel. Abstract: A plurality of tri-rectangular tetrahedrons are mounted in an array to reflect sound waves back to their source. The array filters out the acoustic range below the normal range of frequencies for the spoken voice. The array is combined with a sound absorber to absorb frequencies the user does not want to have returned to the source. One example of such absorbers consists of rendering the returner somewhat porous with microperforations or microslits so that sound waves below the desired frequency range can travel through the porosity and into an absorbing area which may include fiberglass or other sound absorbing fabrics. Examples of environments of use for the present invention are an office setting or nursing station in which a large room is divided up into spaces or cubicles by partitions. Acoustical returners can be mounted above each space or cubicle, for example, in ceiling mounted arrays or clouds above each space or cubicle.

Abstract: A dock handrail gate includes a base plate installable on the surface of the dock and a post mounted to the base plate perpendicular to the base plate. The handrail also has a rail that attaches to the top portion of the post and extends horizontally and inclines downwardly at an angle inwardly towards the post and further attaches to the bottom portion of the post. The handrail may also have an inner tube that includes an inner sleeve to allow the post and the rail to be lifted and rotated to lock into one or more positions.

The angular deflection surface may include a first planar deflection panel and a second planar deflection panel contiguous along a linear vertex. The linear vertex may be directed toward, for example, oncoming traffic to deflect impacting snow away from a mailbox. The impacting snow may come from passing snowplows, for instance. The device may also include a receiving channel. The receiving channel can be defined in the linear vertex extending through the device from an opening at a top end of the linear vertex to an opening at a bottom end of the linear vertex. The receiving channel may receivably cooperate with a known fence post to anchor the device in the ground.

A dasher board assembly is operatively connected to and extends upwardly from the bottom structure. Biasing and impact force absorbing devices (such as pneumatic or hydraulic or spring-encasing telescoping tubes, or foam, gel, or compression springs) bias the bottom structure and dasher board assembly to a desired position and absorb the impact of a human hitting the dasher board assembly to minimize the possibility of injury to the human. The system may be installed in a pre-existing rink or other arena.

Abstract: A solar panel bottom clamp assembly that secures the underside of a solar panel frame (i.e. the return flange of the solar panel) to a solar panel mounting device that is securable to a roof. The solar panel bottom clamp assembly includes a base, a clamping member, a threaded fastener, and optionally, a spring. The base includes a platform for seating the solar panel. The clamping member includes a clamping member body and a hooked portion positioned above the clamping member body with an indentation for engaging the return flange. The threaded fastener non-threadably engages opposing sides of the base and threadably engages the clamping member causing the clamping member to move between the opposing sides below the platform.

A central channel is formed in the front face where the central channel has a linking opening, a first ledge and a second ledge. Cutouts are formed in the ledges. The rear face includes a panel receiving channel that receives an edge of a panel. A linking element is configured to be secured in the linking opening. The head of the linking element is sized to fit within the first and the second cutouts and be secured by the first and second ledges to couple the first post to the second post. The lateral faces of the coupled posts together form a first side central channel and a first side central channel cutout that is configured to receive a second linking element to couple a third post to the coupled first and second posts.

For transportation, the parts of the bed frame are accommodated in the storage room of the bedhead, and the unitary frames of the bedhead are folded to form a box. The volume of the bed frame and the bedhead after folded is reduced greatly to be transported and stored conveniently.

The retention system is useful to prevent snow, ice and other objects from sliding off a roof. According to an exemplary embodiment, the retention apparatus and system may be secured to a standing seam on a metal roof to use an ice flag for retaining snow and ice between standing seams. The retention apparatus, system and method comprising a fastener securing a top block with a latch assembly to a clamp assembly attached to the standing seam of the metal roof. An cross member configured with an anchor assembly for operably connecting to the latch assembly of the top block by a ninety degree 90° straight-in approach to the latch assembly formed in the top block.

A shaft member that guides opening and closing operations of the front cover by being moved relatively along the slit, and that also stops the front cover from dislodging from the case, is disposed on a side surface of the case. The slit has a shape such that the opening portion is opened by sliding the front cover forward relative to the controlling panel main body and then upward.

Abstract: A modular, movable, barricade which has, along its bottom edge, a one or more of supporting feet configured to allow stacking during storage and/or transport. Individual, similar barricade modules may be easily assembled into customized configurations for use by complementary attachment means along the side edges. After use, an assembled customized configuration may be easily disassembled into individual barricade modules by detaching the attachment means. The modules may then be stacked for storage and/or transport until further use.

Abstract: A retractable snap dome in a keyboard, serving as a force resistor for a key in a conventional manner, includes an additional collapsed state wherein the key can be retracted by an electromechanical polymer (EMP) actuator to a persistent down position. In one embodiment, the EMP actuator is a bimorph EMP actuator that can be actuated to bring the key from down position to up position, ready for conventional keyboard operation, and vice versa. Such operations allow the keyboard to have a desirable decreased thickness relative to conventional keyboards. Thus, a keyboard of the present invention finds application in ultra-slim electronic devices. When provided in a notebook computer wherein the keyboard is folded against a video or graphic display, the keyboard keys may be placed in the retracted down position, thereby preventing the keys from pressing against the video or graphical display with a force that may damage the display.

Abstract: A portable collapsible sign assembly including a fabric covering and support frame which is adjustable between a collapsed and expanded position. When the sign assembly is expanded, or in its deployed state, the fabric covering and support frame possess a connective tension relationship with respect to one another which creates and supports both the sign assembly display sign and base in a stable manner. The fabric covering engagement with the support frame enables the entire sign assembly, including both the display sign and assembly base, to be simultaneously deployed in one user-initiated motion.

The power supply assembly is relocatable for providing power and/or data to a particular location within the retail store environment. The power supply assembly can provide power and/or data from a power source above a dropped ceiling to a powered fixture without the ceiling panel being set askew, in a manner that may be more aesthetically pleasing and that can satisfy building code requirements. The power supply assembly can be movable to various locations in the retail store environment and does not require installation of a structure such as, but not limited to, a power pole or other beam-like structure in which power cords may be contained.

A joint is disposed on each pole.
