    Abstract: A movable barrier operator (10) has a first disconnect mechanism (20) and a second disconnect mechanism (35) wherein either mechanism can be used to cause the output drive of the operator to be disengaged from the movable barrier to allow the movable barrier to be manually moved. In one embodiment, the second disconnect mechanism (35) is located distal to the operator itself such that the disengagement mechanism can be operated from an area external to the operator.
