Abstract: The invention belongs to the technical field of protective articles for infants and young children, and particularly relates to a fence gate limiting mechanism, a fence gate assembly and a fence gate limiting method which can be suitable for protective devices such as fence gates. In the invention, the traditional dual-operation unlocking is transformed into two-stage unlocking, which eliminates the occurrence of unauthorized opening of the gate assembly by infants and young children. The invention also provides a novel connection mechanism with desirable structural strength and connection strength, which reduces the labor intensity and improves the assembly efficiency in production, assembly and maintenance.
Abstract: An expandable gate is described which includes a top horizontal guide rod, a bottom horizontal guide rod and vertical bar members extending from the top guide rod to the bottom guide rod. Each of the bar members has a top guide rod slot and a bottom guide bar slot and the top guide rod extends through each of the top guide rod slots and the bottom guide rod extends through each of the bottom guide rod slots. The vertical bar members may slide horizontally on guide rod members between an open expanded position where the bars are spaced further apart from one another and a closed collapsed position where the bars are closer together. The bar members each have spring connection holes at spaced locations between said top guide rod slot and said bottom guide rod slot. Elongated flexible tension bar springs are provided which lie flat when no forces are applied to the springs. Each of the bar spring have a central opening and have an elongated upper end opening and an elongated lower end opening.
Abstract: A gate having a latching mechanism which requires two distinctly different unlatching movements which occur in distinctly different directions, but where both of these unlatching movements can be performed with the use of only one hand. In addition, timer/alarm capabilities are provided to emit an alert signal in situations where the gate has been opened and has not been reclosed within a given time interval after the gate was opened. The gate has a self-closing spring assembly arranged within a pivot assembly. All of the above capabilities are obtained through a greatly simplified design which is extremely rugged and provides highly reliable service.
Abstract: A safety device for elevators including at least one overhead panel to provide an overhead compartment within an elevator car, and rope-like members being stored within the overhead compartment prior to use thereof, each rope-like member being secured at one end to a roof of the elevator car with the opposite free end thereof being provided with a foot supporting member. An opening mechanism is provided for opening the one overhead panel, and an actuating member is disposed within the elevator car for actuating the opening mechanism. When required, a passenger within the elevator car activates the actuating member to actuate the opening mechanism to open the one overhead panel so that the free ends of the rope-like members fall into the elevator car to permit the passengers to step into the foot supporting members to raise themselves above the elevator car floor.
Abstract: A two-sheet or double sided folding wall or door includes panel elements which are hinged in pairs along their inner edges to one another. To permit the door to be opened into a configuration wherein the panel elements are longitudinally aligned, and to permit the door to be closed into a fully folded position, horizontal brackets are mounted on at least one of each wall panel element pair. Bracket arms extend at an obtuse angle opposite the element in the closed position. A spring set between the free ends of the two opposing brackets exerts torsional forces around the panel element hinge axes. These forces act in a closing direction in a closed folding wall and in an opening direction in an open folding wall.
