  • Patent number: 11333392
Abstract: A wall vent door assembly including a multi-functional hinge including flexible and resilient material extending continuously along the hinge edge of the door; one edge of the door is configured to accept and/or otherwise interface with a complimentary edge of the hinge material, and the adjacent hinge edge of the mounting frame is configured to accept and/or otherwise interface with another complimentary edge of the hinge material. Besides providing the hinge connection between the door and the adjacent frame, the flexible material also seals the interface to prevent entry of light and wind when the door is closed. The flexible and resilient hinge material also acts as a spring, exerting force to assist in the movement of the door from the closed position to open positions.

Abstract: A roller shutter type storage container includes a container body, a roller shutter accommodating portion, a pair of guide grooves, and a roller shutter. Each of the guide grooves extends linearly in an opening of the container body and is curved in the roller shutter accommodating portion. The roller shutter is configured by connecting a plurality of slats each having shafts formed in the widthwise direction at two ends of the slat in a bendable manner. As the two shafts slide in the corresponding guide grooves, the roller shutter slides between an open position and a close position. Each one of the shafts is spaced from a vertical wall surface of the corresponding one of the guide grooves. • Patent number: 6630094
Abstract: A tear-resistant flexible hinge structure is placed between a pair of substantially rigid panels so as to permit the panels to be hinged one with respect to the other, where the flexible hinge is formed from a plastics material such as polyvinyl chloride. The hinge structure is formed under heat and pressure so as to comprise at least three parallel rows of alternating flat and raised portions, in staggered relationship. This causes a structure whereby any rip or tear which starts in the formed flexible hinge cannot continue because it will encounter a discontinuity in the configuration and thickness of the material, which precludes further propagation of the rip or tear. Typically, after the hinge structure has been formed, it is configured in a semi-circular cross section, re-heated and cooled, so as to set and have a memory in its closed configuration as opposed to the originally pre-formed flat, open configuration.
