Abstract: A sectional door having a plurality of horizontally elongated and substantially rectangular panels having their adjacent horizontally extending edges hingedly connected to permit movement of the door between a closed substantially vertical position and an open substantially horizontal position. Each panel includes an elongated section member formed from a thin sheetlike material and having a generally channel-shaped cross-section. The section member has opposed leg portions of short length interconnected by a web portion which has a width several times greater than the length of the leg portions. The web portion includes a stiffening portion formed centrally thereof and extending longitudinally throughout the length of the section member. The stiffening portion is of a channel-shaped cross section which opens outwardly in a direction opposite to the channel-shaped section member. The channel-shaped stiffening portion has a depth which is at least approximately 70% of the depth of the panel.
Abstract: A louver shutter having a louver slat adjusting device provided with a driving member moving up and down along a supporting frame provided intermediate the side frames of the louver shutter so that, when said driving frame is moved up and down relatively with the supporting frame, a supporting shaft for each louver slat may be rocked and also including a mechanism for locking the supporting frame and driving frame.
Abstract: A venetian blind is provided having the usual plurality of slats. Each slat is profiled transversely of its length such that it has a central section and pair of edge sections. The control section is substantially flat and is inclined at an angle to a plane which passes through the outer edges of the edge sections whereby the blind can be completely closed without the necessity of tipping the central sections of the slats as far as in previous constructions.
