  • Patent number: 11008807
Abstract: A position-fixing system for a window covering, which has a roller tube, includes a variable diameter screw, a guiding portion, and an elastic member. The variable diameter screw has a working section gradually broadening in a radial direction thereof. The guiding portion extends along an inner wall of the roller tube in an axial direction thereof. The elastic member fits around the variable diameter screw, and is movable along the guiding portion. The elastic member has a meshing portion provided on an inner side thereof to mesh with the working section, and a guided portion provided on an outer side thereof to slide along the guiding portion. When the roller tube rotates in a direction, the elastic member moves along the working section and deforms, whereby to exert a gradually increasing unit tightening force to the variable diameter screw in the radial direction, dampening its rotation.

  • Patent number: 9988840
Abstract: A flexible yet durable roll-down curtain is normally stored in a rolled condition, and is unrolled during use. The curtain includes plural, vertically spaced apart rods extending through a width of the curtain. When rolled, the curtain wraps around an elongate, spring-loaded mandrel assembly. The mandrel assembly couples with a pair of mounting brackets mounted at opposing sidewalls of a temperature-controlled compartment. A pair of locking brackets disposed directly opposite one another at opposing sidewalls engage opposing ends of a rod extending through the curtain, to retain the curtain in a deployed position. A flexible side seal provides a sealing engagement vertically along each side edge of the curtain. When deployed, the curtain extends from ceiling to floor, and from sidewall to sidewall, forming a barrier against uncontrolled air movement from a space on either side of the curtain to a space on an opposing side of the curtain.

Abstract: A positioning assembly is mounted to a partitioning screen including a roller and a screen member. The positioning assembly includes a side strip mounted to a free end of the screen member, two tubular pulling rods, a resilient member, and two retaining rods. Each pulling rod has an inserted segment extending telescopically into the side strip and an extending segment exposed from the respective pulling rod, and formed with a force-bearing portion having a structural strength weaker than a remaining portion of a corresponding pulling rod so as to serve as a point of deformation or fracture when the corresponding pulling rod experiences impact. The resilient member is disposed in the side strip and has opposite ends connected respectively to the pulling rods. Each retaining rod has a connecting portion connected to a respective extending segment, and a securing portion extending away from the side strip for retaining the screen member at an unwound state.

Abstract: A rollable screen comprises a rotatable winding tube for a screen mounted for rotation in a stationary mounting assembly and a spring for loading said winding tube in a direction for winding the screen onto the winding tube. A first end of said spring is connected to the winding tube and a second end is connected to a mounting part positioned within the winding tube and connected to the stationary mounting assembly. Said mounting part comprises projecting locking elements for cooperation with corresponding locking members of the mounting assembly and for a rotation relative thereto between a first rotational position in which the mounting part can be inserted in or removed from the mounting assembly, and a second rotational position in which the locking elements and locking members prevent any translational movement of the rollable screen relative to the stationary mounting assembly.

Abstract: A sunshade includes a hollow roller, a screen wound on the roller, and a torque unit. The roller has a plurality of positioning protrusions protruding inwardly therefrom. The torque unit includes an axle extending outwardly of the roller, an end plug and a stationary plug inserted fittingly in the roller, a spring, and a bushing. The end plug is sleeved rotatably on the axle. The stationary plug is sleeved fixedly on the axle. The spring is sleeved on the axle and has first and second end portions fixed respectively to the axle and the end plug. The roller, the end plug and the second end portion of the spring are rotated during operation of the screen, so that the spring is twisted and pitches of the spring are decreased. The bushing is disposed between the roller and the spring, is in frictional contact with the protrusions so as to be immovable relative to the roller, and is made of a plastic material.
