  • Patent number: 8453708
Abstract: In order to facilitate mounting of a roller blind one end of the roller blind tube is fitted with a spring-loaded insert (M). To prevent this from being pushed back a grub screw may be used, but it requires tools and precise alignment. According to the invention a releasable pawl-and-ratchet structure (2, 4) is provided in the end plug (1). The release is obtained by rotating the holder (5) of the pawls (2), whereby they are directed into axial grooves (3 or 3?).

  • Publication number: 20120067530
Abstract: The present invention relates to a roller blind idle end assembly for roller blinds comprising a splined bush, a support bearing and an end pin, wherein the splined bush is supported by the support bearing and rotatable relative thereto in use; the end pin projects from the support bearing and is slidably coupled thereto such that the end pin is adapted to move axially relative to the support bearing and projects therefrom to engage with a receiving element of a mounting bracket; and wherein the end pin is rotationally fixed relative to the support bearing. This assembly reduces wear between an idle end pin and an idle end bracket and the likelihood of failure of the blind.

  • Patent number: 5597196
Abstract: A system for the deploying and storing of an automobile cover. The system is provided with a roller assembly which can be made to be pivotally disposed about the axis of an axle. Attached to the roller at one end and the axle at another end is a spring means. The roller assembly has attached to it a full body automobile cover. The cover having one end adapted to covering and being secured to the end of the automobile opposite from the trunk, and the other end attached to the roller. The cover wound around the roller assembly and the roller assembly is stored in the trunk compartment of the automobile. The cover can be easily unwound from and wound back onto the roller with the assistance of the spring biased roller. The operator can quickly deploy the cover by pulling it from the back of the trunk over the trunk lid, and over the car, securing it to front bumper. The trunk can be closed after the cover is secured to the front bumper, thus securing the system inside the trunk.
