There are produced tissue products which resist moisture penetration from propelled liquids as well as sequester sorbed liquids in the interior of the tissue.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 6, 2003Publication date: December 16, 2004Inventors: Phuong V. Publication number: 20040244931Abstract: A method comprising adding a suspension of a paper-property-enhancing substance, such as but not limited to, a wax suspension, to a paper product precursor. The suspension may be added to the paper product precursor in a production line prior to making a finished paper product. The suspension may be manufactured at a site where the paper product precursor is produced. A finished paper product may be made from the paper product precursor. An article is also described comprising a finished paper product made by adding a suspension of a paper-property-enhancing substance to a paper product precursor.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 4, 2003Publication date: December 9, 2004Inventors: Haggai Shoshany, Amnon Shoshani

Publication number: 20040131842Abstract: A method is disclosed for application of compositions onto non-woven webs, such as paper webs. The present invention is also directed to products made from the process. In general, the method includes applying a composition to a non-woven web using a non-impact printer, such as an ink jet printer. The composition is applied, in one embodiment, as droplets that remain as discrete shapes on the substrate. In this manner, treated areas and untreated areas are formed on the web. Through this process, the water absorption and control properties of the web can be adjusted as desired while simultaneously treating the web with a composition that improves the physical and/or chemical properties of the web.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 31, 2002Publication date: July 8, 2004Applicant: Kimberly-Clark Worldwide, Inc.Inventors: John J.
