Abstract: A robotic end effector is disclosed. The end effector is configured to grasp, move, and place one or more objects without assistance from another robot. The end effector includes a lateral member configured to be attached to a robotic arm at a central portion of the lateral member, a passive side member fixedly mounted to the lateral member at a first distal end and configured to engage mechanically with a first recess on a first side of an object to be grasped, and an active side member hinged to the lateral member at a second distal end opposite the first distal end and configured to engage mechanically with a second recess on a second side of the object to be grasped, the second side being opposite the first side of the object to be grasped. The passive side member and the active side member each include a structure, and the structure on the passive side member and the active side member have different profiles.

Abstract: A method and device are provided for lifting and conveying bale rubber from a pallet. The method may include rotationally driving a plurality of claws about a support shaft inside a claw housing case and gripping the bale rubber by protruding the plurality of claws from the case and piercing the plurality of claws into the upper surface of the bale rubber while the case is abutted against the bale rubber. A contact sensor may be provided for detecting contact of the case with the bale rubber, and with a contact signal thereof, a grip safety mechanism of the drive mechanism is disabled to allow the claws to be driven. Furthermore, a press sensor that detects a pressing load applied to the transfer place of the bale rubber may be provided so as to provide a release safety mechanism that allows gripping of the bale rubber to be released.
Abstract: Discloses a self-contained and non-polluting mobile ingot extractor having a wheeled undercarriage and drawbar frame with a hitch for towing same. The extractor has longitudinal frame members carrying cross-members which carry stops and a hydraulic ram. The longitudinal axis of the stuck ingot and its mold is horizontally disposed between said stops and ram head of the hydraulic ram. A low volume-high pressure hydraulic pump exerts force through the ram head upon the stuck ingot to remove same from its mold.

Abstract: An improvement in and pertaining to cranes for stripping and/or handling cast metal ingots. The improvement is disclosed in the illustrative environment of a crane capable of performing both functions and operations with big-end-down ingots and molds. The improvement is embodied in a horizontally disposed component of a vertical, crane-suspended, ingot working mechanism. Said component serves as a shock absorber and dampener during a stripping operation, and serves as a resilient energy reservoir in aid of an ingot handling operation. Said component takes a horizontal drum-shaped form with centrally apertured, resilient, spring tempered steel discs disposed like the heads of a drum normal to said mechanism wherein, however, the inner peripheries of said apertures engage parts of the mechanism between which there is relative vertical motion in one direction incident to stripping the ingot from the mold, and in the opposite direction when gripping the ingot to handle it.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for the removal of castings from chill moulds. The device comprises a body provided with controllable gripping means for the chill mould and controlling gripping means for the casting and ramming means provided to create blows against the chill mould in order to loosen the same from the casting. The body is provided to be suspended by hoisting means.
