The condenser comprises a coil type turn-fin tube 10 wound in a coil shape and fixed by inner and outer brackets 20 and 30 surrounding an outer peripheral surface of the coil type turn-fin tube, a motor 40 positioned in an inner space formed by the coil type turn-fin tube 10, a blowing fan 50 for taking ambient air in the coil type turn-fin tube 10 after being driven by the motor 40, and a tube wall 80 spirally wound with tube 11 extending out of the inner and outer brackets 20 and 30 at the rear side of the coil type turn-fin tube 10. The turn-fin condenser is easily manufactured and allows a greater quantity of air contact with turn-fins, thereby enhancing heat exchange efficiency.

A confining plate extends radially above the fins and is spaced below the bottom surface of the lid whereby coolant fluid flows from an inlet opening of the lid through the center opening of the confining plate and radially outwardly through the fins and upward around the outer edge of the confining plate and into the space above the confining plate to an outlet opening. A nozzle having a throat is disposed above the lid and extends below the lid to the confining plate. A flow diverter extends upwardly from the top surface of the base and into and through the throat of the nozzle.

    Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method of constructing a semiconductor chip cooling device consists of multiple fans and heat sinks to provide redundant cooling capability. Heat coming from a semiconductor chip is first distributed to several heat sinks using multiple heat pipes. The heat sinks are placed around the fan outlet such that air is pulled in near the center of the fan and then pushed to across the heat sinks. Multiple fans and heat sinks are stacked up to form a complete cooling device. An external control circuitry is used to monitor and control the fans. In case of one fan fails, the other fans will be speeded up to make up the lost of air flow.

An inlet opening is located on one end of the elongated body such that the intake gas enters the central passageway though the inlet opening. The intercooler further includes a plurality of cooling tubes forming at least a portion of the elongated body. The plurality of tubes substantially surround the central passageway. Each of the cooling tubes is spaced from an adjacent cooling tube such that an air flow path is formed there between. The intake gas is cooled by flowing past the cooling tubes. Preferably, the intake gas flows along the central passageway in the elongated body and radially outward therefrom through the air flow path between the cooling tubes.
