    Abstract: A modular radiator arrangement having first and second rows of spaced apart radiator core modules and air directing ducts provide a compact radiator arrangement. The air directing ducts are disposed in spaces between adjacent radiator core modules of the first row and about the radiator core modules of the second row located in alignment with the spaces of the first row of radiator core modules provides cooling air flow of substantially the same temperature to each of the first and second rows of radiator core modules.

    Abstract: An apparatus for generating electricity includes an internal combustion engine having a drive shaft connected to an electrical generator. A radiator, through which coolant from the engine circulates, is formed by a six sided enclosure with radiator cores forming three, four or five of the six sides. The radiator has a tank mounted above and connected to the three radiator cores to serve as a coolant plenum and as a collector for air entrapped in the coolant. A fan is mounted either inside or outside the radiator enclosure, adjacent to one of the six sides, and is driven by the engine drive shaft or an electric motor. A muffler for the engine may be located within radiator enclosure and cooled by air flowing therethrough.

    Abstract: A heat exchanger mounted on an air condition is constructed such that at least one row of heat conduction pipe groups are arranged across an air passage. Each heat conduction pipe groups is constructed such that a plurality of heat conduction pipes 22 are arranged in parallel with each other and a fine wire 23 made of a metallic material having excellent heat conductivity is spirally wound around each adjacent heat conduction pipes 22. Thus, performances of the heat exchanger can be improved without a possibility that the air conditioner is designed with larger dimensions. In addition, the heat exchanger includes a plurality of heat conduction pipes 39 arranged in the form of at least one row with a constant distance between adjacent ones and a plurality of twisted wires 40.

    Abstract: The present invention involves split system air conditioners. Specifically, the present invention provides a condenser unit with cross-flow blowers. A single cross-flow blower may be used to draw air through a heat exchanger and expel the air adjacent to a cut-off portion. Further, dual cross-flow blowers may be provided to enhance the performance of the condenser unit. The combination of air streams from two cross-flow blowers provide better air circulation through the heat exchangers and a more uniform exhaust stream. The condenser unit is more compact and can be mounted on the wall, on the overhang, or on the top of the building. These various mounting locations take advantage of the air boundary layer near the building and thus the air conditioning system operates more efficiently.
