Abstract: A gathering device having a pair of brackets interconnected by an axle and a roller assembly, a remover mechanism and cross members. Each bracket has a first side and second side which are mirror images. A removable collection basket is attached to a front portion of the gathering device adjacent to the remover mechanism via a tongue and slot assembly, the slot being on each bracket.

Abstract: A litter separating apparatus includes a frame, a churn-up mechanism provided at a front portion of the frame, and a mesh member provided at a rear portion of the frame. During operation, when the separating apparatus is towed on the surface of sand ground, the churn-up mechanism churns up litter along with sand, and throws thus churned up litter into said mesh member which catches the litter. The mesh member includes an encircling portion including a rear wall and side walls, and having an opening formed therein. The mesh member is attached pivotally to one of longitudinal members of the frame. An opening-closing plate is pivotally arranged around an open-side edge of one of the side walls on the longitudinal member to which the mesh member is pivotally attached. Such litter separating apparatus prevents litter from dropping out from the mesh member during collection of the litter.

Abstract: A beach cleaner has a frame formed by a longitudinal member and a lateral member, a ski member that is secured to a front portion of the frame and grounded to a sand surface GL, a trailing target portion that is trailed by a trailing vehicle, a separator that is provided at a front lower portion of the frame and scrapes up trash from a sand area while separating the trash from sand, a trash withdrawing member that is provided to the frame at a rear side of the separator to collect the trash scraped up by the separator onto a mesh member, and a wheel at a rear side of the frame. The trash withdrawing member has a fixed withdrawing body that is located at a front end portion and fixed to the frame, and a swing withdrawing body.

Abstract: Systems and methods for covering a trough member. A cover system can include a flexible cover coupled to a side wall of the trough member. The flexible cover is selectively removable from the side wall to allow access to an interior of the trough member. The flexible cover mounts with a snap arrangement. Support ribs are mounted to side walls of the trough member.

Abstract: A box-shaped beach-cleaning trailer is configured to be loaded with, and collectively carry beach-cleaning equipment and a litter collection station. The beach-cleaning equipment are towed by a vehicle to collect litter on the sands. The litter collected by the beach-cleaning equipment is collected in the litter collection station. The trailer includes a pair of rail members disposed on upper edges of the respective opposite side wall portions such that the rail members face each other with an opening therebetween. A sieve unit is detachably mounted on the rail members, and is configured to move a back-and-forth direction along the rail members. The sieve unit is moved in a back-and-forth direction manually; or by using a driving mechanism including a drive wheel, a driven wheel, and a connecting rod arranged between the sieve unit and the driven wheel, for separating colleted litter of various sizes from sand.

Abstract: To make it easier to collect litter which is captured and deposited in a mesh member of a beach cleaner which scrapes up the litter along with sand and captures and deposits the churned up litter and sand in the mesh member. In a second beach cleaner which captures and deposits in a mesh member litter scattered around in the sand by churning up the litter along with sand while traveling by being towed by a towing vehicle, the mesh member has an encircling member open on at least one side and is attached to the frame such that the mesh member is pivotable with respect to the frame.

Abstract: A beach cleaner which scrapes up the litter along with sand and captures and deposits the churned up litter and sand in the mesh member. The beach cleaner 50 includes a frame; keel members, a scraper, and a tow portion that are disposed in a front portion of the frame; a mesh member disposed in a rear portion of the frame. The keel members and the scraper churn up litter scattered on sand ground, along with sand, while the beach cleaner travels on a surface of the sand ground by being towed by a towing vehicle. The churned up litter is deposited in the mesh member. Mesh of the mesh member is relatively rough at a front portion thereof in the traveling direction and finer at a rear portion thereof.

Abstract: Apparatus for raking and cleaning topsoil of undesired materials has a frame supporting a scoop and a rake or comb of multiple tines on a shaft that is rotatable about the shaft's longitudinal axis. Rotation of the shaft can then be used to raise or lower the rake into a raking or combing engagement with the top soil. The scoop is also rotatably supported to allow it to be activated to accumulate undesirable materials. Hydraulic cylinders or equivalent apparatus are provided to activate alternately the rake or scoop as desired by the operator.

Abstract: An implement for removing rocks and preparing soil for landscaping or seeding includes a bucket attached to the lift arm of a skidsteer loader by an appropriate hitch mechanism. The bucket includes a frame mounted on the outer end thereof which supports removable and replaceable grates having spacing therebetween for allowing rocks to be collected on the grate and dirt collected with the rocks to fall through the grates. Tines extend from the outer transverse edge the frame supporting the grates and are adapted to collect and dig under rocks which are forced up the tines and onto the grate by the normal forward movement of the skidsteer. Periodically, when the grates become full of rock, the operator pivots the implement, thereby dumping the rocks into the bucket. The bucket includes a perforated grated floor through which additional dirt may be removed from the rocks and dropped back onto the soil while the rocks remain in the bucket.

Abstract: This device is a vehicle for scraping earth from regions containing land mines or munitions. The scraped earth is separated into munitions and earth, the earth is allowed to exit the vehicle's scraper bowl. The munitions and land mines are retained in the scraper bowl. The device is additionally armored in those regions where explosion of the cargo carrying, e.g., land mines, is found. Additionally, the device may be robotically operated.

Abstract: A beach cleaner that is simple in configuration and light in weight and can be manufactured at a low cost. The beach cleaner is easy with regard to maintenance and inspection and can efficiently reclaim various kinds of refuse scattered on a beach. A beach cleaner includes a traveling body with ski members disposed at four corner portions of a frame having a substantially quadrangular shape. The beach cleaner is towed along a surface F of sandy soil by a traction vehicle R. A bar-like scraper is provided at a lower portion of a front portion of the traveling body and extends in a widthwise direction of the traveling body through a scraper supporting member for scraping up refuse on the sandy soil while the traveling body is operating. A refuse reclamation section is provided on the traveling body rearwardly of the bar-like scraper for collecting pieces of refuse scraped up and thrown rearwardly by the bar-like scraper onto a net member.

Abstract: A beach cleaner for recovering waste while moving in a towed state by a traction vehicle. A grating-like portion scoops up waste present in front of the beach cleaner as the beach cleaner is moved and a reticulate portion that is formed behind the grating-like portion to hold waste. As the beach cleaner is moved, waste present in front of the beach cleaner is scooped up onto the grating-like portion and is held with the reticulate portion formed behind the grating-like portion. Sand that is scooped up together with the waste is allowed to drop through the gaps in the grating-like portion.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a device that is mounted on the front of loaders or tractors for picking and separating rocks and other debris from soil admixtures. The device includes a forward dumping bucket which includes a grate at the bottom thereof for separating larger rocks/debris from smaller rocks/debris and soil. Rocks or debris are swept into the bucket by a reel which is either directly mounted on the side plates of the bucket, or is attached to a carriage which is pivotally attached to the bucket. A motor is provided which rotates the reel in a circle to sweep rocks or debris into the bucket. The reel is either rotated by the motor to a position allowing forward dumping of the contents of the bucket, or when the carriage is used, a hydraulic lift is utilized to pivot the carriage away from the bucket so as to permit forward dumping of the bucket.

Abstract: The present vibrating bucket screen attachment for cleaning beaches and for being mounted on mobile machines such as skid-steer loaders includes an outer excavating bucket with a sand-scooping blade and runners on the outer bucket for supporting the outer bucket relative to the beach. An inner vibrating screen bucket is resiliently mounted in the excavating bucket and includes a hydraulically operated vibrator. Resilient bumper pad mounts disposed between the inner and outer buckets suppress the vibrations of the inner vibrating bucket relative the outer excavating bucket. A floor screen portion of the inner bucket is mounted above bottom, sand-engaging portions of the outer bucket such that the screen portion is spaced from the surface of the beach to vibrate freely during the separation of sand from litter.

Abstract: An improvement is presented in an apparatus for processing soil for planting wherein a separator are provided for initially separating rocks and other large objects from soil prior to crushing thereof, the separator comprising a plurality of respectively upwardly and downwardly directed pins which cooperate in the removal of said rocks and other large objects from the soil. Also provided is a vertical rotatable power driven shaft centrally located in said apparatus wherein a plurality of radially extending arms are fixed thereto and are rotatable with the shaft. Some of said separating pins are fixed to the arms and some cooperating separating pins are fixed to a disc plate also mounted about said power driven shaft. A rotating plurality of discs crush said soil to reduce large particles and destroy weed seeds, insects, and larvae.
