Abstract: An apparatus for picking litter off sandy beaches with minimal sifting of sand. A rotary drum, with unique rigid protrusions and non-rigid projections, is independently powered to roll in the opposite direction as the moving apparatus. The protrusions on the drum dig into the subsurface of sandy beaches and bring up debris that may be lodged in the sand, while the projections toss debris on the surface into the apparatus for collection.
