Abstract: A process for making cerium-containing nanoparticles with biocompatible stabilizers is described, wherein an aqueous reaction mixture comprising cerous ion, citric acid, a stabilizer (chelator) selected from the group consisting of nitrilotriacetic acid, ethylene glycol tetraacetic acid and diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid, and an oxidant, is provided, followed by a heating step to effectively form the nanoparticles. These biocompatible nanoparticles can be used to treat oxidative stress related diseases and events, such as ischemic stroke.

Abstract: A towing apparatus for agricultural machines of the type of balers and round balers. The towing apparatus includes a first member, which can be coupled to the agricultural machine and is associated with a second member. The second member is in turn associated with a third member, which can be coupled to a tractor for towing the agricultural machine. Either or both of the first member and the second member is controlled by at least one respective actuator, for the movement of the agricultural machine at least partially independently of the advancement of the tractor.
Abstract: A rotary mower has a center mower deck and a hitch arm assembly adapted at a front end for connection to a tractor drawbar. A hydraulic pump is mounted on the hitch arm assembly and connected to a hydraulic motor mounted on the center mower. An upward arm section of the hitch arm assembly extends upward from a front portion of the hitch arm assembly to provide a desired clearance distance between a middle arm section of the hitch arm assembly and the ground, and a downward arm section of the hitch arm assembly extends downward from the middle arm section to a rear end of the hitch arm assembly which is pivotally connected to the mower deck about a hitch pivot axis oriented horizontally and perpendicular to the operating travel direction. The hitch pivot axis is located at a vertical position below top edges of the front wheels.

Abstract: A main frame is secured to a tractor for towing wherein the main frame is tilted as the tractor tilts to one side or the other of the path of travel A ball and socket joint suspends the tool bar by its central portion from the main frame so that the tool bar can swing from a position angling forwardly and to one side to a second position angling forwardly and to the other side The moldboards being fixed to an suspended below the tool bar cause the tool bar to rotate about its longitudinal axis automatically swing by gravity to upright positions for plowing, regardless of the tilt of the main frame. A latch plate latches the tool bar in its rotated position on the frame The tool moldboards have clamps which are adjustable along the length of the tool bar for adapting the plow to wide wheel or narrow wheel base tractors.
Abstract: A semi-mounted or trailing roll-over plow arranged for maximum control over the plowing components. In such a plow wherein the axis of rotation of the roll-over (rotatable) slow part does not go through the center of gravity of such rotatable plow part, there is provided mechanism by which the rotatable plow part is shifted, and thereby its center of gravity is moved from an operating position substantially in a horizontal direction toward the axis of rotation, for thereby minimizing eccentricity of the rotatable plow part during a subsequent roll-over, or rotation. Hydraulic means are provided for effecting the lifting and/or shifting of the plow components as required for various phases of operation thereof.
