Actuator Released Patents (Class 172/263)
  • Patent number: 8336468
Abstract: A furrow opener apparatus attachable to an implement has a trailing arm with a packer wheel at the rear end, and a furrow opener attached forward of the packer wheel. An actuator moves the trailing arm between a lowered operating position and a raised transport position. A latch mechanism engages the implement frame and the trailing arm when the actuator is operated to move the trailing arm to the transport position, preventing the trailing arm from moving downward. A release mechanism moves the latch mechanism to an unlatched position when the actuator is operated to move the trailing arm from the raised transport position to the lowered operating position, allowing the trailing arm to move down from the transport position.

  • Patent number: 6202014
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a computer based control system for controlling hydraulic and electromechanical actuators on a power machine, such as a skid steer loader. The computer based control system is configured to implement a number of features to enhance certain operational aspects of the power machine. One such feature includes an operator actuable selector which provides a selector signal based on an operator input. A controller receives the selector signal and provides an auxiliary output signal to control an auxiliary valve in a selected one of an on/off mode and a proportional mode based on the selector signal.

  • Patent number: 6142085
Abstract: A compression system for a dual material delivery assembly is described. The assembly includes a furrowing element for producing a furrow in the ground as it is towed across the ground. A fertilizer tube and a seed tube are provided for depositing fertilizer and seed at respective location in the ground. A packer wheel follows the tubes for packing earth on top of the seed. A biasing element provides a force on the furrowing element and the packer wheel. A control linkage mounts between the packer wheel and the furrowing element for controlling a distribution of the force between the furrowing element and the packer wheel.

  • Patent number: 5954139
Abstract: Soil tillage apparatus with a hydraulic reset mechanism has a rigid vertical shank mounted to an elongate arm fixed below a lower plate which is pivotable upon an upper plate. The upper plate is adapted for mounting to an agricultural tool bar. A hydraulic cylinder is vertically mounted to the upper plate and is biased by pressurized hydraulic fluid to resist extension of the ram therefrom. The hydraulic cylinder is pivotal upon the upper plate and the ram is fixed by a pin to the elongate arm. A pressure reducing/relieving valve is adjustable to supply a fixed hydraulic fluid pressure to the hydraulic cylinder at all times.

  • Patent number: 5562165
Abstract: A hydraulic downpressure system for use on no-tillage seeders allows for a constant downward force to be applied on seeding tools operating in highly variable soil surface conditions in order to keep a uniform seeding or planting depth. Raising and lowering of the seeding units can also be achieved with this hydraulic system. A double acting hydraulic cylinder is principally used having its rod end connected to one or two seeding units. A hydraulically operated two-way mode selection valve provides system shifting between both modes involved. The first mode is used when transporting the seeder on roads and to operate the seeding tools in the field. Control is then provided by a three-way directional valve mounted to an external hydraulic power supply, such as an agricultural tractor. Raising and lowering of the seeding tools can be achieved when operating in this mode. A second mode is involved when the seeding tools are working into the ground to sow seeds.

  • Patent number: 5236050
Abstract: A rotary mixer is disclosed with automatic distribution of the drive torque at each end, wherein the power transmission at each end of the rotor is provided by at least one chain driving a pinion coaxial with the rotor, a torque limiter being interposed between the latter and said pinion and each of the two torque limiters being set to the same torque limit value such that the sum of the two values is slightly greater than the nominal drive torque of the rotor.

  • Patent number: 4189007
Abstract: A reversible plough comprises a frame member, at least one support member pivotally mounted on the frame member and two cranked plough legs pivotally mounted on the support member, and biassed toward their operative positions, in which during normal ploughing operations the support member is held in its operative position, but when an obstacle is encountered by the plough body and the working plough leg deflected, the support member is permitted to rotate relative to the frame member.
