  • Patent number: 11649596
Abstract: A self-propelled roadway maintenance machine has an operator's station located on a front portion of the machine's chassis and including a forward-facing operator's seat. A driven implement, such as a crack routing cutter drum for routing cracks in a roadway surface, is mounted on the front portion of the chassis in a location that can be monitored by a forward-facing operator while controlling machine steering and propulsion. The implement may be removably mounted on the chassis by a quick-connect coupling. If the implement comprises a crack routing cutter drum, a plurality of peripherally spaced cutter wheel assemblies may be mounted between disks of the cutter drum, each cutter wheel assembly including a pin and first and second bushings that support the pin on the disks and that are removably inserted into respective bores in the disks. Machine steering and propulsion and implement operation may all be effected hydraulically.

  • Patent number: 10458096
Abstract: Front loaders typically have interchangeable implements that require an operator to drive toward a desired implement and to attempt to align the implement attachment points with the attachment points on an implement mount that is attached to the loader. This is made more difficult because the operator's view of the various attachment points (catch hook and support pins, rods, links) of the implement and the implement mount is often blocked by the front loader arms (booms) or other front loader components, thus, aligning the implement and the implement can be very difficult. The present disclosure provides for a system and method to simplify the above-described implement alignment processes.

  • Patent number: 6860039
Abstract: An improved snow plow for use with light and medium duty trucks is disclosed which has a hitch mounting mechanism and method that enables the snow plow to be easily and quickly mounted to and detached from a truck without requiring tools. The snow plow hitch mounting mechanism has four points of attachment between a snow plow-mounted hitching apparatus and a hitch frame mounted at the front of a truck, two points of attachment being at each side. The lower points of attachment are made by initially engaging the snow plow-mounted hitching apparatus with the hitch frame, with the upper points of attachment being engaged by using a releasable retaining mechanism.

  • Patent number: 6648078
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device which may be mounted to the front of a tractor and which is operative to fold over corn stalks and the like before they engage the front tires of the tractor. The device positions dragging units in front of each of the front tires of the tractor, whereby the dragging units are dragged over the ground in front of the tires when the tractor is moving. The weight of each of the dragging units is sufficient to cause it to substantially fold over corn stalks and the like prior to their engagement with the front tires of the tractor, thereby greatly minimizing wear to the tires caused by engagement with the corn stalks and the like.

Abstract: An ATV loader system for allowing an ATV operator to manipulate particulate material and objects. The ATV loader system includes a base attachable to a vehicle frame, a first support member and a second support member extending upwardly and forwardly from the base, a loader frame pivotally attached to the support members, and an attachment device such as a bucket attached to the distal portion of the loader frame. A plurality of actuators are connected between the support members and the loader frame for adjusting the pivotal position of the loader frame. The actuators are preferably fluidly connected to a valve assembly which receives pressurized hydraulic fluid from an electric pump that is powered from the ATV's power source.

  • Patent number: 6343660
Abstract: A steering gear for controlling an implement suspended in front of a tractor, with a yoke structure for coupling to a tractor, a steerable part, and at least two transmission structures, spaced apart in transverse direction, between the steerable part and the yoke structure and engaging the steerable part in laterally spaced apart engagement positions. If the steerable part is moved to the left, it is steered rightwards by the transmission structures and vice versa by displacing the steerable part forward at one engagement position. At the other engagement position rearwards displacement, if any, is at least immediately or within a specific lateral movement path, limited to displacement substantially smaller than the forward displacement at the other engagement position. Thus, an accurate course of the implement along an intended processing path is obtained.

Abstract: A quick connect dozer frame assembly is disclosed. The frame has a plurality of attaching points which interconnect with complementary latching members on an associated tractor for quickly connecting the dozer frame thereto. For conventional framed, rear wheel drive tractors, the dozer frame extends beneath the tractor to engage a rearwardly located tractor frame member. Where the tractor is an articulated frame vehicle, the dozer frame engages latching members on side plates mounted on the tractor.

  • Patent number: 6035941
Abstract: A tractor for use with a front loader connected thereto has a pair of mast mounts for detachably attaching right and left masts of the front loader, a pair of braces for coupling the mast mounts to the tractor, and a weight mount for carrying a plurality of weights. The braces have distal ends thereof connected to the weight mount. A spacing L1 between the distal ends of the braces is smaller than a spacing L2 between proximal ends thereof. Consequently, the braces are arranged to avoid their interference with front wheel steering. With the weight mount acting also as a brace support, the weight mount has an increased supporting strength.
