  • Patent number: 10945362
Abstract: A modular harrow apparatus for smoothing horse pens includes a vehicle carabiner that attaches to an ATV, a UTV, or a small tractor. Each of a pair of chains has a vehicle end coupled to the vehicle carabiner and a harrow end. A lead harrow bar has a pair of first front eyelets coupled to the pair of chains and a pair of first rear eyelets. A second harrow bar has a pair of second front eyelets. A pair of linkage systems is coupled between the pair of first rear eyelets of the lead harrow bar and the pair of second front eyelets of the second harrow bar. A plurality of tines is coupled to a first bottom face of the lead harrow bar and a second bottom face of the second harrow bar.

  • Patent number: 9572416
Abstract: A groomer for turf surfaces includes a groomer frame that mounts a first style of grooming brush for use on an artificial turf surface and a second style of grooming brush for use on a natural turf surface. The first style of grooming brush comprises a brush formed by spaced brush walls with each brush wall having a substantially single row of brush bristles with no bristles being placed between the brush walls. The second style of grooming brush is that similar to a push broom where the brush bristles are packed across the width of the brush head. When configured for artificial turf surfaces, a front row of scarifying spring tines helps the trailing brushes to level out the infill material and the attitude of the groomer frame can be tilted tail down to put more downpressure on the infill material. A debris remover attached to the rear of the frame can pick up and hold metallic debris that is often found in the turf surface.

  • Patent number: 5183119
Abstract: An anti-snag plowing system suitable for clearing mines in the Middle East is disclosed. Advantageously, the plowing system has also been found to be an efficient and effective soil conditioner, making it a useful farming tool as well. The plowing system comprises several digging-knife units, or plows, and a harrow. Both are attached in tandem to a chain matrix, which is pulled with either a helicopter or tractor. The digging-knife units rotate if the digging-knives hit an immovable snag. The harrow is covered with a chain blanket, and may have magnetic or sonic wave mine triggers if the system is used for clearing mines. A symmetrical embodiment is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4582142
Abstract: A new chain harrow of improved performance with regard to effective harrowing and non-clogging is made up of V-shaped elements (as seen in plan) interlinked with the apex of one connected to the end of a respective arm of a more forward element. The elements are formed of unusually large diameter steel rod (e.g. about 16 mm instead of the prior thickness of about 11 mm) with relatively unusually large loops and with a horizontal apex loop that is an incomplete turn of about 270 degrees so as to provide for a specially effective sweeping and guiding action. Each arm is provided at its end with a respective tooth at the end of a respective vertical loop for interlinking with the horizontal loop of the forward element.
