Abstract: A method and apparatus for weed removal, wherein using a depilatory method (new use) with an extension spring having an arcuate axis and being driven in a rotational sliding motion relative to the soil-bearing weed to be removed. For this purpose the apparatus is equipped with a spring (10), having an arcuate axis that is bent at 180 degrees and the spring is made in the shape of a spring of variable rate, so that the spring has a large diameter in its middle zone and conically reduced cylindrical ends of smaller diameter.
Abstract: A garden machine allows a user to perform various gardening functions with a single machine by allowing the user to easily interchange implements placed on an implement mounting shaft of the machine. The garden machine includes a frame and an implement mounting shaft. The user, faced with a job to do, selects the implements best suited for the job and mounts the selected implements on the implement mounting shaft. The user then manipulates the machine to do the job. The machine can be hand powered or be powered by an engine or motor. A seed drill of the invention includes seed discharge tubes spaced around the circumference of a disk. Each seed discharge tube communicates with a seed reservoir in the disk through a displacement operated valve arrangement. As a planting head is displaced toward the disk against a spring bias, the displacement opens the seed discharge tube so that a seed is discharged from the reservoir into the tube and is delivered to the ground.
Abstract: A working tool (10) is disclosed having an elongated shaft (11), a handle (12) mounted generally perpendicular to one end of the shaft (11), and a ground working head (13) mounted to an opposite, lower end of the shaft (11). The working tool (10) also includes an annular step plate (16) mounted upon the shaft for rotary movement relative to the shaft 11. An upper stop (7) and a lower stop (18) are also coupled to the shaft (11) above and below the step plate (16), respectively.
Abstract: A soil tiller is provided including a hand held, portable frame having a handle. Also included is a drive assembly having a power source mounted within the frame and a motor for rotating upon the receipt of power from the power source. Next provided is at least one tine assembly rotatable with respect to the frame and further connected to the motor for rotating coincidentally therewith.
