  • Patent number: 10500468
Abstract: A golf training aid simulating a grass whip consists of a club shaft, a neck portion, and a blade portion. The blade portion is connected to the club shaft via the neck portion. The club shaft replicates the shaft of a golf club. The blade portion replicates the club head of a golf club. The weight for the blade portion is specifically selected so that the wrists of the user adjusts along with the swing. Moreover, the shape of the blade portion is specifically shaped to minimize air resistance. The shape of the blade portion also helps the blade portion to smoothly cut through grass. Since the apparatus helps the user practice on striking grass during a swing, when a golf club is used with a golf ball, the user can accurately strike the ball at an optimal contact point.

Abstract: My invention is a multipurpose gardening and weeding tool that reduces the effort of effectively getting rid of weeds, dandelions, and other unwanted vegetation while the user is in an upright standing position. The user places the split tipped end of the tool close to the base of the plant or weed and inserts the tool vertically at the base of the weed. Additional insertion force can be applied by stepping on the heart shaped blade. As the blade becomes the fulcrum, the leverage force removes the weed and its root(s). This very sturdy, uncomplicated tool will enable people working in yards or gardens or around shrubbery to effectively get rid of the unwanted vegetation, roots and all, while the user remains in a standing position. This tool can also be used to prepare the soil to cultivate vegetable gardens and flower gardens and as a hoe to work around individual plants or rows of plants.

  • Patent number: 5664819
Abstract: A weed pulling device designed to apply a substantially vertical force to the stem of a weed engaged by the device comprises a tubular body having a first end that is bifurcated to provide two opposing members having edges that define two cooperating V-shaped slots or openings positioned in confronting relationship. One of the V-shaped slots or openings is designed to engage and retain the stem of a weed while the second V-shaped slot or opening is designed to contact the stem of the weed in a non-cutting manner as the device is manipulated to cause the weed stem to wrap around the bifurcated end of the tubular body.

  • Patent number: 5461849
Abstract: A new and improved versi-rake attachment comprising a clamp adapted to be secured to a handle of a tool. Two apertures are formed on the clamp. Two thumb screws are adapted to be received through the apertures formed on the clamp. The two thumb screws function to secure or release the clamp from the handle of the tool. A plurality of small spikes are integral with the clamp. The small spikes function to grasp the handle of the tool and prevent the clamp from rotating. The device contains a bracket having a generally rectangular configuration. The bracket is secured to the outer surface of the clamp. Two apertures are formed on the bracket. The device also has a tool head portion having two apertures formed therethrough. The two apertures correspond with the two apertures formed on the bracket. Two inner thumb screws are adapted to be received through the two apertures formed in the bracket and the two apertures formed in the tool head.

  • Patent number: 5425226
Abstract: A combination rake/hoe device integrally formed on a common structural member and usable in an alternative arrangement with an elongated handle includes a rake portion having a series of rake teeth mounted in a spaced, substantially parallel array along the length of the common structural member from a first to a second end thereof and a hoe blade mounted on the structural member at a location approximately midway between the first and second end with the hoe blade extending oppositely of the rake teeth from the structural member. The hoe blade has a sharpened edge substantially parallel to the structural member and extending about one-half the length between the first and second ends. A Y-shaped mounting member integrally formed with the structural member has a pair of arms extending from respective ones of the first and second ends to a common junction at a base member. The base member has a generally flat configuration with at least one hole for receiving a bolt for attaching the base member to the handle.

  • Patent number: 5411101
Abstract: A combination cultivator and edging tool including a handle and a head attached to one end of the handle. The head includes a transverse support member and a row of long cultivator tines, each tapering from a point of connection to the support member toward a tip. The tines extend in a common plane of extension disposed generally perpendicular to the handle and the transverse support member. The head further includes a blade having a support edge and a sharpened edge opposite the support edge. The blade is disposed in the same plane as the handle and the transverse support member. In use, the handle is disposed at an angle to the ground for cultivating. The handle is alternatively disposed vertically with respect to the ground for edging.

  • Patent number: 5373903
Abstract: A self-cleaning, dual purpose, manual garden tool that can be used either as a weeder or as a cultivator. The tool has an elongated body that serves as a handle. The body is longitudinally split into two parts which are pivotally joined at one end. When the two parts are brought together they mate so as to form a single body. A blade formed of laterally spaced tines is mounted at the pivoted end of one body part so as to form a longitudinal extension of that body part. Another blade formed of laterally spaced tines is mounted on the pivoted end of the other body part so as to form a transverse extension thereof. When the tool is used as a weeder the longitudinally extending blade is shoved in the soil underneath a weed and the weed is lifted by a prying action. When the tool is used as a cultivator the transversely extending blade is used to scarify the top soil and dig out weeds.
